Team news

Defender Darren Powell looks set to miss the match after suffering a groin injury against Preston on Saturday.

Powell came off at half time to be replaced by Aki Riihilahti, and Hayden Mullins moved to the back to partner Tony Popovic and Kit Symons.

Francis talked about his injury after the Preston game. He said: "Powell has been playing for a while with a groin injury and needs a rest now."

Andy Johnson is still out with a broken toe, so Tommy Black will hope to continue his good form with Dele Adebola up front.

Coventry, who are on equal points with Palace, will be without Craig Hignett and Barry Quinn.

Hignett fractured his shin bone during their draw against Sheffield United and midfielder Quinn fractured his toe in their Boxing Day win over Reading.

One to watch

Jay Bothroyd

Coventry City's top scorer

Jay Bothroyd - 10 goals

Coventry City's bad boy

Youssef Safri - 6 1

Palace old boys

Dean Gordon, Richard Shaw

Bothroyd is a raw (but talented) striker. Palace fans will remember the cracking volley he scored at Selhurst in Coventry's win last season.
