Team news

Hungarian striker Sandor Torghelle faces a late fitness test after missing Palace's defeat against Everton, on Saturday.

Torghelle hurt his ankle while playing in Hungary's 3-0 win over Scotland last midweek.

Dougie Freedman will otherwise retain his place up front, alongside Andy Johnson. New Ecudorian striker Ivan Kaviedes is not fully-fit, so will continue on the subs' bench.

Shaun Derry, Michael Hughes, Mikele Leigertwood and Darren Powell are all fully fit and back in the squad.

Still out for Palace are Danny Butterfield (hamstring) and Neil Shipperley (knee).

Damien Duff, Celestine Babayaro and Adrian Mutu make a return to the Chelsea squad but Wayne Bridge is doubtful to play.

Chelsea's summer signings include: Didier Drogba for £24million and Portuguese defender Paulo Ferreira for £13.2million. Then there was keeper Petr Cech (£7million), Arjen Robben (£12million), Mateja Kezman (£5million) Tiago (£8million), and Ricardo Carvalho (£20million).

Well, how many players do you want to choose from? Internationals from all over the world and players of the highest calibre littered all over their squad. Thanks to a certain Mr Abramovich.

So where to start.

Well, in goal is Czech international Peter Cech who is strong, agile and has done the job for a very good Czech side at Euro 2004.

In defence, we need to watch out for the likes of Porguese internationals Paolo Ferreira & Ricardo Carvalho and English Internationals John Terry & Wayne Bridge.

In midfield the likes of Geremi, Smertin, Cole, Tiago & Makelele are all huge threats when coming back and going forward. The passing and fluency of their play is second to none. Also they have the enormous talent of Arjen Robben who would definately be my 2nd place for the one to watch.

Up front Chelsea have talents like Drogba, Gudjohnsen, Mutu & Kezman who are all world class strikers, all have plenty of goals in them and will all be very very threatening towards our defence.

However, the man i have chosen is one of the worlds best attacking midfielders and in my opinion the best talent currtnely that england has to offer. Frank Lampard made such an impact on the Chelsea team when he signed from West Ham for £11m in 2001 that he was soon lined up in an england shirt and doing the business for his country as well.

Hes always a threat going forward and will create numerous chances as well as scoring them at times. He has a fantastic right foot and can shoot from anywhere upto 35 yards out and at least come close. He will definately be a handful for all of our players and cant be given an inch of space otherwise he will destroy us.

We will need to be very tight at the back and hope that Chelsea have an off day but my personal belief is that we need to be positive and believe that we can get a result otherwise we will just roll over and die which would be a very bad thing.
