Match winner Tom Soares
Palace reached the Carling Cup third round by beating Hartlepool United 2-1 after extra time.
Youngster Tom Soares turned out to be the match winner, scoring in the fourth minute of the second half of extra-time.
Hartlepool had gone in front after 70 minutes when Eifion Williams scored from the edge of the six-yard box.
Less than ten minutes later however, Dougie Freedman scored Palace's equaliser making sure the match went into extra time.
In the 109th minute, a WAYNE ROUTLEDGE corner found Soares who scored from 18 yards sending his side into the next round of the Carling Cup.
