Team news

Glenn Murray, Wilfried Zaha, Lewis Price and Jonathan Williams could return to the Crystal Palace starting XI after starring in last week's Carling Cup win over Premier League Wigan. All four were on the bench for Saturday's Championship defeat to Middlesbrough but may begin the cup tie.

Midfielder Alex Marrow (ankle) and forward Steffen Iversen (hamstring) plus Anthony Gardner are now fit and available for selection.

Nathaniel Clyne (foot) and midfielders Kagisho Dikgacoi (hamstring) and Owen Garvan (hip) are still sidelined.

Boro full-back Joe Bennett is suspended after his red card against Palace at the weekend and goalkeeper Carl Ikeme is ineligible to play under the terms of his loan deal. Midfielder Malaury Martin is a doubt due to illness, while Seb Hines is missing due to a knee injury.

Julio Arca is available after recovering from a foot problem, while Connor Ripley and Alex Tchuimeni-Nimely go into to the squad.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"I think Tuesday will be close match again, the way both teams are playing. I expect it to be another similar game. Tactically they are very good so I need to be spot on."

Tony Mowbray

"The main priority is league points, but we want to keep the momentum going forward. The Palace players won't want to lose two games at home to the same team in four days."
