Palace v Bournemouth

Selhurst Park, Saturday 3.00pm

Wayne Hennessey

Wayne Hennessey

Story so far

Palace finally won a game – albeit in the EFL Cup against Blackpool – but they all count and next up is a Premier League clash against Eddie Howe's Bournemouth. The Cherries are unbeaten in their previous four outings against Palace and took a win and draw off them last season.

They've notched at least two goals in four of their last six games against Palace so there could be goals again. The south coast outfit are 12/5 to triumph here with betVictor.

However, buzzing from victory over Blackpool, back the Eagles to win this 11/8 with betVictor.

In the anytime scorer market, Connor Wickham can be backed to net for the successive game at 23/10 with betVictor. While the former player scoring curse could strike with Cherries super sub Lewis Grabban at 3/1 with bet365.

Team news

Eagles goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey and midfielder Joe Ledley have picked up injuries in the week and are doubts. New signing Steve Mandanda, who made his Palace debut in the midweek EFL Cup tie against Blackpool, could step in for his Premier League bow.

Christian Benteke might start on the bench due to lack of match fitness leaving Connor Wickham to lead the attack.

Bournemouth have no new injury worries with Harry Arter available after completing a one-match ban.

Palace (from): Hennessey, Mandanda, Speroni, Ward, Dann, Delaney, Tomkins, Souare, Kelly, Dreher, Cabaye, Ledley, Boateng, Williams, Townsend, Zaha, Puncheon, Campbell, Benteke, Wickham, Appiah.

Bournemouth (from): Boruc, S. Cook, Smith, L. Cook, Daniels, Francis, Surman, Gosling, Gradel, King, Federici, Wiggins, O'Kane, MacDonald, Pugh, Grabban, Ibe, Wilson, Ake, Arter, Afobe.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

On Benteke: "Christian's given everybody a big lift - He's our record signing. He's settled in very quickly and has a lovely manner about him."

Eddie Howe

"We had two tough games against them last season. There wasn't much between us and them in those games. They have recruited well so we know they will be organised and difficult to beat.

"Every game in this league is so tight and there doesn't tend to be much between the sides - one moment can change a game.

"We've been on the wrong end of that twice already this season, so we need to make sure we are on the right side come Saturday. We have to make sure our best selves turn up to the game."

"Benteke is a good player," he added. "He brings a physical perspective and a different dynamic. He is well known to us.

"But they have other good players. Crystal Palace have recruited well and we're expecting a physical challenge - it will be a tough game for us."
