Leicester City v Palace

King Power Stadium, Saturday 3.00pm

Story so far

The Eagles will be aiming to get back on the winning trail after last week's disappointing London derby defeat to the out-of-form West Ham. Trust Palace to get them going again!

Up against current Premier League champions Leicester, it might not be as daunting as it sounds, with the Foxes having a tricky start to their title defence.

They won just twice in the league from their eight fixtures, but after they continued their perfect Champions League campaign with a midweek win over Copenhagen, not is all bad.

Claudio Ranieri's side will look to carry that good form into the Premier League and they are still unbeaten in the league in over a year at the King Power Stadium.

However, Palace are definitely worth a flutter at 3/1 to emerge victorious here with betVictor.

Though Leicester won both of last season's fixtures with Palace 1-0, they were tight contests, so I'm all over under 0.5 goals which is 9/1 with bet365.

Team news

Crystal Palace captain Scott Dann is not yet fit to start after recovering from his hamstring injury and will be on the bench.

Boss Alan Pardew is set to name an unchanged line-up from last weekend's loss against West Ham but French international Yohan Cabaye is pushing for a recall.

On-loan Chelsea striker Loic Remy (thigh) is out until December, while long-term absentee Pape Soure (broken thigh bone) and Jonathan Benteke (knee) are still on the sidelines.

Leicester's Jamie Vardy (groin), Wes Morgan (hip), Andy King (leg) and Matty James (shin) sat out training this week after picking up knocks following the Champions League win over Copenhagen. They will be checked on before Leicester finalise their team.

Quotes

Roy Hodgson

"Leicester had an unbelievable season and now they are attacking Champions League football," he said. "With that their league form has dipped a little bit.

"They have a great standard of players there and we have great respect for them. They won the league because of the character in the dressing room and that will come through.I think they will finish in the top eight but they are a team we want to try and challenge although we have got a long to go before we can prove this year that we are better than them. "More importantly it is about us. We come off a disappointing performance against West Ham, particularly the first half where we didn’t dictate the game as I would of liked. I have spoken to the group about the way we started the game and I hope that doesn’t happen again.

"I want my team to respond and we need to turn up for this one. We were very close to getting something their last year against them in both games but because of the season they had last year they edged both and you have to admire them for that but now we need to look at doing the same.

Claudio Ranieri

"We made a very good match on Tuesday, but now we think of Crystal Palace. They are strong and tall, similar to Copenhagen," Ranieri told reporters.

"Palace are strong at the back and then they have good players at the front. A good team and well organised. We must be clever. I study Crystal Palace from last night, this morning and this afternoon. It's my life, my job and my hobby."
