Amex Community Stadium, Tuesday 7.45pm
Roy Hodgson is likely to choose the same lineup that started against Burnley at the weekend. Christian Benteke being the only notable absentee.
For Brighton, Bruno will be available to play after limping out of their win at Huddersfield.
Alireza Jahanbakhsh is still sidelined with hamstring trouble while Dale Stephens completes his three-match ban.
Roy Hodgson
Speaking about former Palace striker Glenn Murray: "I’ve been very impressed by him.
"He left incredibly good memories here at Crystal Palace. The chairman [Steve Parish] speaks incredibly highly of him.
"Everyone admires what he has done – not only for Palace but for Brighton. He is one of their main weapons Brighton have in their armoury and he’s someone we have to pay very close attention to."
When asked whether he would be repeating Jurgen Klopp's run onto the pitch in the Merseyside derby last weekend he said: "I won’t be doing it because I can’t run that fast anyway,"
"It is not something which is occupying my waking moments before sleep time anyway.
"It is not always easy to take that step back and reactions are spontaneous – unfortunately a spontaneous reaction will be criticised afterwards in the cold light of day."
Chris Hughton
"We don't like horrible starts and if we can avoid them we will.
"When I look back at the (Palace) game, it was very strange. We got ourselves back into the game and both managers would have been massively disappointed with the goals we conceded.
"I expect a close game, a normal game when there's a lot of stake. They can be tense afairs, I just hope we can show enough quality to go on and win it."
Hughton appreciates, even from his playing days with Spurs, what victory would mean this evening.
"I've always been aware of it (rivalry)," he said. "My brother (Henry) played for Palace, I was brought up in London, I played against Brighton in the early eighties and against Palace.
"So I've always been aware of it."
