Max Keiser is ace. Didn't RT have their UK bank account frozen recently?

I was in the US last week,Penge Eagle, and listened to NPR quite a lot as usual.

While I would say there is no such thing as either an utterly objective media outlet (or indeed for that matter a human being),I would say the BBC and NPR come nearer than most.What do you think in a US context?

In terms of a balance,I completely agree,so,for example,I might look at the Guardian on a near daily basis but would also read The Economist weekly and regularly look at stories online in the The Times and The Telegraph,and listen regularly in the car to the BBC world service which has a more global orientation in its range of news and presentation.

I don't listen to NPR but watch CNN and Fox News. First up, neither actually cover any news! They take a news line from the White House/president's campaign and spend the entire day having a series of talking heads arguing to and fro about it. There's so much of: "he's racist and sexist because..." and "he's not because...". It really becomes tiresome but I guess entertaining because the channels are after ratings.

Fox News is NOT this crazy, fringe channel people in the UK think it is. We have always been fed clips with some weird or offensive comments, UK people believe it's always like that. It's not. You could do the same with the BBC if you scan every guest that ever comes on the channel.

CNN is so biased towards the Democrats and MSNBC are even worse. It's only fair that Fox News covers it from a Republican point of view but they actually criticise the party if need be. Megyn Kelly is pretty good and she has exposed Trump a couple of times and he was realled fcuked off. I don't think CNN's Blitzer, Lemon et al would to Hillary.

CNN had a pundit on yesterday who said Nigel Farage has links with the KKK and another guy said UKIP backer Aaron Banks was funded by the Kremlin! Trouble is, the 'neutral' anchor is unaware if it's true or false so doesn't intervene and the bulls*** appears as fact!

Other observations... The local Fox News stations are pretty good in their coverage of the state. A lot of the female political pundits are hot! Need more of that in the UK.

I meant impartial view overall – not that RT was impartial as clearly it is not. However, it seems one of the few outlets that holds the EU to account.

While they do point out the many foibles of the EU it doesn't help that they're clearly state scripted.

Optimistic as ever

Can you elaborate on that? I know a lot of people, from a lot of backgrounds and I swear I've never in my life heard people bemoaning ethnic minority coverage on ITV news? Strange times.
