Scotland is going nowhere.....There are enough of them who know what side their bread is buttered.....Personally I'm fed up with the moaning and wish they would bugger off and take the Euro. There isn't going to be a united Ireland.....some people obviously just don't get the 'Good Friday' agreement. You know...in return to putting up with having the murderers of our soldiers in actual positions of power. and privilege......An incredible humiliation...for some...I still have never really accepted it....But this humiliation wasn't felt by many lefties like Corbyn of course....In return for that the stinking IRA gave up the idea of force. Anyone who thinks there is going to be a united Ireland obviously doesn't know any northern Irish unionists. They were just as ready for blood letting as any republican.

It seems like this thread has now just divided off between people on the left who are using sources and facts and people on the right who are resorting to more and more baseless assertions and speculative claims. Imagine if you got a terrible illness and were rushed to hospital. Would you want the doctor to base his treatment of you rationally, based on the facts and research he's done, or would you want the doctor who dismisses facts as 'biased' and bases his treatment on what he thinks 'the people' believe?

I really can't wait for the Tory manifesto so we can debate the comparative merits. Not that we've had much actual debate on the Labour manifesto today but I live in hope.

You mean you pushed the lies about the Uk still having a nuclear deterrent as a viable option when the guy who would be in charge of its use is an affirmed CND supporter. It's a completely unethical argument. If you want to take the kool aid because you agree with Corbyn anyway that's for you. But don't tell me up is down and expect not to be called out on it. I would suggest it is too soon. Today Emily Thornberry was unable to answer questions on several aspects of the manifesto even though that is why she was on the show. Sadiq Khan dodged the question of the manifesto by saying he hadn't read it. As the leader of the nations capital city I struggle with that. Corbyn (at tea time) was unable to put any figures to the cost of nationalisation. Wait and see was the answer. Equally he seemed to change his tune around the benefit cap and again Thornberry couldn't clarify

It is a fact that Corbyn has appointed Andrew Murray to a leadership role in his campaign team. Murray was a member of the Communist party until December 2016. Do you expect us to believe any 'source's and 'facts' that he comes out with given the well known relationship of communists to truth.

I looked at this when you said this previously. There is an element of pedantry as a country can default which by and large is similar. If it happens its doesn't matter what it is called it is a Lorry load of pain
