If you're anything else in today's Labour party you're the new fringe.

Watching the first Daily Politics of the new decade I thought that Corbyn was going to burst into tears at the murder of that nice Iranian general

Apart from the fact that this has very little to do with the BBC I'm not sure that 'privilege', 'contacts', 'inherited money', 'Eton' have anything to do with his success.

His victory in the London Mayoral elections had nothing to do with any of the above and likewise his winning of the Conservative party leadership and subsequent General Election was down to his sheer force of personality and not his schooling at Eton or inherited money

Missing the point. OK Ken Livingstone went to Tulse Hill and became London Mayor, but by and large money and power tends to get you the more prominent positions in society.

Come on, that is simply a truism.

Yeah, but isn't that how it's meant to work.

I'm with you when it comes to over powerful political influence from the corporations and lobby groups backed by their financial backers.

However, for Mr and Mrs Normie, what's the point of accruing money if you get no benefit from it?

Corbyn never met Hitler.

Imagine their conversation. From one Autocratic Anti-Semitic Socialist to another.

No.

It's full of journalists and support staff all of whom are obliged to adhere to it's charter and who are regulated by Ofcom.

If anyone has any issues about an individual's personal political views finding their way into content then the opportunities to raise concerns and for them to be independently scrutinised exists.

But the majority of their output is not provided by journalists.

Trevor Phillips made that point the other day BBC drama and other entertainment programming are constantly pushing a certain political agenda e.g. Doctor Who.
Then you have programs like Question Time that are so unbalanced in their panel and audience and have been for many years.

BBC employees like Gary Lineker are on social media pushing his pro Remain anti government bias to name one of many BBC employees who do this.

You can't claim the organisation is neutral and then allow your staff to publicly voice their politics.

This was the point that Phillips was making maybe the actual news isn't biased but the BBC is responsible for all of it's output.
