I am not talking about the "pushing of minority interests". That's a separate issue. I am talking about Trump and his administration who thoroughly deserve all the criticism being aimed at them, and much more. I see no underserved antagonism at all. In fact I think they are being allowed quite a lot of rope because of the positions they hold.

The politicisation of the Justice Department and the way it is now becoming a personal weapon for Trump to use in his disinformation war on everything decent and honourable in US society is the latest evidence of the never-ending decline in the Presidency under Trump.

To open up investigations into why the security services investigated the Russian interference in 2016, which are a matter of record everywhere in the 5 eyes, to denigrate those hard-working, non-political public servants who were doing their jobs and to invent new labels like "Obamagate" is way beyond the normal political cut and thrust. This is an attack on the very basis of democracy.

To then sack those who are running investigations into suspected wrongdoers, just because they are part of your team, is scandalous. To threaten to attack the social media companies for refusing to allow lies to be circulated, just because those lies help you, is the essence of how a dictatorship begins.

To do these things as the worst epidemic in 100 years is consuming the country and the biggest economic recession in living memory looms is beyond irresponsible.

This cannot go on and it will have to be brought to an end somehow.

Not all Republicans are spineless sycophants. Some have some balls and brains. Maybe they will wake up and act.

I said the test might be flawed or that you cheated. Why? Because everything you say here places you, in my own opinion, firmly on the right side of politics and neither the centre nor the left.

That Trump does put his head into any traps set for him just shows how dumb he is! Although he actually doesn't require any traps to prove that. He manages it every day all on his own.

The MSM have a duty to expose his failures and not cover them up. So don't be surprised when they do that.
