It's quite obvious that Theresa is a dead PM. It's quite obvious that people voted for Jezza as a protest against Theresa's unpopular policies and hubris. It's also quite obvious that the majority do not support either Theresa or Jezza as PM, otherwise they would have been elected at the last election with a majority. Therefore, does Britain sit though 4 odd years of legislative log jam, wasting the greatest opportunity this country has had in several generations (Brexit), or force another General Election, forcing a new Tory leader to take a positive agenda to the public against Jezza's cash w*** s***list?

So you'll be voting for Corbyn then Also they'll wait until the Grenfell fire 'quietens' down a bit. Whilst its in no way the Conservatives fault, people will tend to see it as a tragedy that the middle and upper classes of society will never have to experience and its certainly Labour who benefit from the political fall out. The Conservatives problem is they have a leader who is popular with their party, but not the electorate, and the opposition has a leader who is unpopular with his party, but popular with the electorate. Plus the Conservatives are very short of leadership options. So far it appears that it Hogg or Johnson.

... Arguably I think the only real option is a general election (long term) but I don't think it'll produce a better result than a hung parliament - The conservatives are very short on new leadership options. johnno42000  14 Jul 17 8.02pm |

I think if there is a quick election then Corbyn will get a majority, although Summer may have been a good time to hold one, from the Tory point of view, as students would be on holiday from University. Young people now know that they can make a difference, even in the least likely of areas, and I think the move from UKIP to the various parties has now happened so there wouldn't be much more movement to the Tories. Labour now has a lead in the polls and Corbyns policies seem very popular. I don't see the Tories having anyone to combat these things effectively.

He got away with it at the GE due to the Conservatives running an abject campaign and NOT challenging him on his spendling splurge.This won't happen again. Any party can produce popular polices, promising the earth - how will it be paid for and what will be the consequences ? Anyway I am now off my 'Soapbox'. Going out with my wife for a tipple or two ! Have a nice weekend, one and all.

Finally does Gussett ever post on football matters or does he exist on here just to post Labour hogwash as part of his 'Gusseting' ? Has he ever condemned the shameful abuse of Labour moderates by Corbynites or the shamful abuse of Conservative MPs by the same unruly bullies ? Or the shameful 'Fake news' by the Lefties on social media discrediting the Conservative Party ? Suppose he would respond with the meaninless and vacuous Corbyn message of "I condemn all..." without daring to name specifics.
