A 65 mil transfer kitty is not to be sniffed at in the
current climate - we could get Lundstrom for nothing, spend 25 on Brooks, that's 40 mil left to replace PVA, we only need one more central defender, if Ferguson is not another Wickham we might not need another right back, Clyne can play on either side if we decide to re-sign him, we might not need to spend a penny to get some of the players we need, and we'd still have enough to splash out where we need to. The AWB money went on debt and wages, be interesting to see how many won't be getting their contracts renewed on the basis that Parrish doesn't want to make the same mistake twice, i.e. not maintaining the squad and reinvesting when it was necessary.

Is Lundstram really an upgrade on what we've got? Don't see a need to spend money replacing PvA. MItchell's already replaced him as far as defensive needs go and Hannam won't be far behind IMO. We still have Riedewald in reserve for that role. As for CBs, I suggest we'll need 2 younger ones given how injury prone our defensive Dad's army is and we need a dynamic attack-minded midfielder who can move forward with the ball. I agree that Brooks would be a good option if we can get him at a reasonable price.

The thing that baffles me is that it doesn’t appear that we’ve even been in contact with Ismaël. I appreciate they’ve kept the whole thing under wraps quite well. But it would seem if it’s not Nuno, we’ll be going down the route of Cooper. I would hope at the very least we bring Ismaël in for a talk.

It’s all very well Palace, keeping things under wraps. But not a peep out of Swansea, Barnsley, or Burnley. Surely if Palace, were actively advanced in pursuing any of their managers they would not be slow in making some comment even if it was only sod off . One or two reports claiming to know how much compensation might be involved , almost certainly guess work.
It seems strange all three clubs can’t even be bothered to comment.when it’s so commonly reported we are about to Nick their managers.

Spurs still looking for a manager, after Jose left months ago. There is no rush just to satisfy fans, i would rather Parish gets the right man by doing due diligence on all options
