Conor is just a straight loan no option to buy. We are also back in for Bright Osayi Samuel if Fraser goes elsewhere. Also still in for young CB & then finally a Striker. If you're correct then for once the papers seem fairly accurate in what they've been posting this window. I hope this young Chelsea lad is worth holding back the progress of our own young midfielders.

If we are after Welbeck then Roy must have done a trade off with the board accepting younger players if he can have Welbeck

In his defence he went out on loan to Charlton, my mates there rate him. That route is always an option for our youngsters. You have to force your way into the squad through performances. Some of our players have gone out on loan but I don't remember them getting rave reviews.

Conor Gallagher on loan had medical yesterday should be completed today which will allow McCarthy to leave. That means no Michy Batshuayi on loan then as we can't have two players from the same club on loan

I believe he was a box-to-box player at Charlton but when he went to Swansea he played mainly behind the strikers.

By bringing in Connor that would give us someone who would add quality in the short term while Kirby, Pierrick, Boateng go and wet their toes in League One/Championship. CG does look a quality little player and in fairness I don't think many of us regret the club signing RLC on loan.

Not to have a go dazza but all of this information you mentioned has been widely reported since yesterday evening. Is there any information you can give us that hasn’t been publicised yet? Dear Dazza, Please keep going. This is a discussion forum and topics need to be presented. I am not close to your sources and your (and Willo's) comments do give useful information and flesh on the bones. COYP
