Rooty passed 7,000 runs in test cricket in that innings. All those knocks of 50+, don't complain would you rather he didn't? Mostly achieved while trying to anchor the innings with one day players around him.
I'm a fan - but not of his skippering. Should have played forward though.

294 looks 50 short of a par score. I fully expect the Aussies to get a decent first innings lead. It looks a decent track and a perfect day for batting.

Greetings from the future. The year 3289 AD. Humanity is now a broken diaspora, scattered across the galaxy after the disastrous wars of Brexon destroyed their home planet. Most are enslaved and pitilessly harvested by alien overlords. They are the lucky ones. The rest eke out a meagre subsistence using toxic fragments of radioactive bones to extracting Ur-Sand from the ice moons of Thoth. Life is hard. Space is infinite. Steve Smith is still batting. Cant take credit for this, dirtily stolen from my mates FB page!

A drawn series would be respectable. Archer and Curran excellent today. They have made the difference.

I rather like Ricky Ponting on commentary and wish he was full time on Sky and could replace Gower and Botham

With Curran today.....we have probably witnessed Woakes's last test..... short of there being injuries.

If Denly gets himself on a tour I'm going to feel strangely conflicted.
