I think SP knows exactly what he's doing.

At first it was a shock but if you look at it from that angle, which Parish probably has, it's to be expected.

I'm slightly staggered at the level of impatience exhibited here and that, staggeringly, people seem to be suggesting that we have better options available! There are plenty of ongoing transfer sagas that have been rumbling on for far longer than this one and I would suggest that if there is still a genuine chance of signing him, we should go all out as he could well be worth 15-20 goals a season to us.

There may be some out there available for less money that are of a similar or higher quality. But there can not be many. And even if there are, doesn't mean that a) they want to join us, which he seems to or b) that they would fit our style, which he would seem to.
