How very dare you, you have just dissed my whole look of the 80's (and beyond ) . Mind you the young ladies of that era in box pleat skirts, bow blouses and big highlighted hair seemed to like my look

Unfortunately I could not carry the Kilt, sporran and ginger short hair look off.

I ride a GS scooter with my hair cut neat
I wear my war time coat in the wind and sleet.

Now your talking, Pringle jumpers, plain v-neck or diamond pattern, Farah slacks or jeans with frayed bottoms, addias suede trainers, i looked fvcking tip top in my day, wedge haircut i never could manage with my curls me and the rest of the print boys from the London Evening News cut a finefigure in our day.

Talking about clothes...Parkers,Combies,Ben Sherman or Brutus,Doc Martins, smooths or brogues, silk hankie,Prince of Wales checks,braces...what have I forgotton....I know one thing we all looked the dogs (well we thought we did)

Harrington jackets....

Dressed like this for most of the 80's Dm Boot's or Chelsea boots.

Really? I bought my Harrington circa '72, hadn't realised there had been a revival. Anyway, far too busy being sensible in the 80's

A few different jackets around back then,Harrington

Bomber or flight jacket was slightly more padded

Just brought my son one of those for xmas, his first one and he's 25, i did laugh when paying for it, and said to the totty behind the till, i had one of those 40 years ago.

If you like the clothes and music side of the casuals. I recommend This book

Great read and it brings back a good few memories. Can't beat a Pringle roll neck and a Diamond cut Jumper on a cold away trip.

PS I still wear my Harrington.

Got it mate great memories, my boy loves reading stuff like that, you could do a whole thread on the music, fashion and violence of the casual era

Fenerbahce fans breaking the ceramics of the urinals in their own stadium toilets in half time and throwing them at us from above in the second half.

We had nowhere to hide. Two GS fans had pieces of toilet stabbed in their legs. It was horrendous.
