Offer Cardiff the 3 points, stipulating they make a formal apology on the grounds of fabrication.

Fat lot of good it will do them, they will still be sh-t, they'll still have Tan, they wont catch us even if we decided to field the youth side for the remaining 4 games.
While we are at give Judus 3 too, he needs some badly and we got lots at the moment...

Share the love Palace we got plenty.....

WE shouldn't really slate Doogie too much. Once he had this information he had to share it with the authorities or become an accessory to the fact. That may have meant sanctions against Bolton. He had no option. Anyway, we should all want open-handed honesty, shouldn't we?

Accessory to the fact ? Blimey !
He received a text with some players names on it - not the Brinks Mat gold !
He's a right snake. He tipped OGS off as they're mates. Despite the fact he had the support of so many Palace people for so long.
Showed his true colours once and for all - anyone still defending him is a moron (sorry - but it's true)

I'm reluctant to have a go at DF here because, if he was involved at all, it's not like he asked someone to send him a message containing the Cardiff team.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

Huh ?
Receiving the text isn't the issue - sending it on to the detriment of Palace is. He put OGS (and Cardiff) ahead of the club that he spent years at and that gave him his management start. He betrayed all Palace fans.None of us should be reluctant to have a go at Freedman. He's an ungrateful , spiteful prick.

Yes, it may be difficult for some to understand the fact of accessory to a crime , but that is exactly how DF will be viewed by the authorities if he had not disclosed his knowledge of the message he'd received. I know it doesn't rate in the Brinks Matt shape of things, but crime it is. And if there is issue about where DF sent his information, it will have ended up with the authorities, so same rule applies. Slating a bloke for being honest is not where we should be coming from. Unless others believe dishonesty is ok. We must hope not,

I think you're confusing an allegation of a breach of the regulations of a sporting body with criminal acts that are enshrined in statute and common law. No crime has been committed as far as I'm aware (from the fulsome disclosures by the BBC) and I'm not, therefore, expecting anyone to be arrested or any criminal charges laid any time soon.

Great point. Why should he put his job on the line to save face.He has a Family to look after also. Can never have any bitterness to Doug after the many years of joy he has brought to my club.

Indeed. If we were all back at school he'd have been bogwashed for that.

Yes they will be construed as criminal acts. Like cricketers paying for weather reports. This is because betting may be involved or something that may influence the outcome of a sporting event. See what is happening all over the sporting world to get this fact. If any club are seen to breach the rules in any way, it can be seen as criminal. Of course common law will not be infringed as this is not statuary and often involves civil law, making it a case for only NGOs to enforce within their remit.
