This notion that we will become a pariah state needs to be nipped in the bud by someone with some political weight and charisma. The stay camp is as confused as the stay electorate. "Nobody will trade with us" - Really? They'll risk their own jobs to damage our employment? "We'll be like Norway" - So they WILL trade with us but we will have to pay for membership and have no say in future rules etc. (Pretty much as it is now with 28 opinions or technocrats nobody knows of "3 million jobs will be lost/ are at risk" - Will be lost is incorrect and 3 mil at risk is an exaggeration as well. They are linked with trade in Europe, not whether we are a full member of the EU. As long as the economic trade still applies and companies still get the skillset they came here for or stay here for in the 1st place, why leave? (Tariffs can be applied to imports as well as our exports. SE Asia so applying tariffs to SE Asian cars produced here is a little short-sighted, no?) A major attraction to business in the UK is the skilled workforce. Management may be useless when left to its own devices but provide the workforce with a task and it's delivered to a good standard. We're going to see plenty of small and medium sized businesses that are going to sound enthusiastic about less red tape in European markets and the government opening up other worldwide markets. I'm getting more and more frustrated with parliaments and mainly Labour's fascination with big business anyway. It's an easy solution. They'll do all the work and recruit a few employees on tosh wages and after costs have been accounted for, avoid paying taxes. The economy needs addressing long-term so when is it ever going to be tackled? It needs a few tweaks and more focus on smaller employers and focus on exports is a positive long-term expansion strategy.

Chuka Umanna should spend a few weeks out of his politics only career in the offices and workshops of SME's to see the problems facing companies and EU countries protecting their own. After that a week in France to experience their mammoth work union book that over 50 employees all manner of ridiculous rules apply preventing their businesses expanding. As I noted earlier in the thread the BBC were trumpeting about Cameron's Deal this morning as though a new dawn had arisen. Sorry but Cameron's "achievements" don't amount to much at all if they were designed to curb immigration and get our sovereignty back. Farage has commented that Cameron has spent all this time and effort and for what? We are still an open door to potentially 600 million people if they decide they want to up sticks and come and live/work here. We are also still under the firm control of Brussels for all aspects of our daily life, so what has Cameron achieved? A few Mickey Mouse items, that can easily be reneged upon or amended at any point in the future anyway!

It needs some big hitters like Boris and Gove to nail their colours to the Leave campaign and momentum will begin to gather pace. Cameron will choose June 23rd as the day for voting because he knows the longer it goes on, the bigger the swing to leave the EU voters will become.
