So according to this research, Brexit has cost us all around £550 extra, a total of £15bn, prices for items like coffee, bananas, alcohol for example all costing more. And that's a Conservative estimate.

Brexit makes you poorer, Fact

If coffee and bananas are more expensive, that's passed me by.

Yeah, cutting off your biggest customer by pricing yourself out is really going to happen

Two facts on brexit making me poorer.

My income has gone up by 50% in the last two years due to lack of competition for jobs in my industry.

House prices are slowing down. So I can now afford to make a bigger jump up the housing ladder.

I think that will cushion the blow of having more expensive bananas.

But what about the ability to just get on a train to Brussels though?

Wouldn't you want to earn less, buy nannas for peanuts and not be able to see a doctor for 3 weeks to avoid having to wait an extra 20 mins at passport control?

Logic says why can't you have all of those things? you've been bought, to take one side and swallowed the notion the EU is the root of all our ills, the idea we will enter this new Utopia post Brexit is delusional, but lets see, i'm sure we all want a better life

The French Populists are on course to win the European election.
Their leader, Jordan Bardella said, “We are going to fight to go to the European Commission to reclaim our four levers of sovereignty that are to us essential. Our borders, economic and legislative sovereignty and budgetary control”.
Sounds vaguely familiar.

I thought the EU restricted the importation of bananas to a few favoured nations. Once we have left we will be free to buy from other sources.
