He raises some interesting points. I don't see there being a General Election anytime soon though, as it'd probably wind up as inconclusive as the previous one. The only exception to that I think is if a new leader such as Johnson, can convince the party to get behind a pure 'Leave' message, much as the way the Brexit Party has done. If they can, and rely on Corbyn's message to remain unclear, that would split the Labour vote somewhat.

The timing on all this is going to be very interesting. Generally, Parliament breaks for the summer recess about the third week in July and re-convenes first or second week in October, after Conference. If they stick to this pattern, with May going on 7th June, there is very little time to settle the Leadership, form a new Cabinet, define any new strategy/policy and get that in place before the summer break and Conference. After Conference, there is very little time, only a couple of week in fact, left before the extension to Article 50 expires (on 31st October). No time at all really to get anything sorted in Parliament. Will the whole of Parliament give up their Summer vacation to sort things out? I won't hold my breath! Will the EU give us a further extension to A50? Some of the noises reportedly coming from Macron and others would seem to imply that they are not keen - Macron has already stated once that he will veto any extension. Interesting times, eh?

When the extension was announce I said she would wait until after the EU election to go. Our best leverage in these negotiations is keeping a no deal on the table. Neither side what's to be the one seen to initiate a no deal. The EU does not want our MEPs to be sworn in as they fear we will create mayhem. The EU now have no MP to negotiate with so will have to accept further delay or kick us out without a deal. Should another PM call an general election, which is possibly required to get a deal through parliament then an even further delay would occur. In my opinion this move have strengthened our barging position. The EU can give us a better deal to get rid of us or we will remain and cause mischief.
