Modern 'far left' scholarship regards race as a social construct. Politicised revisionism to insert far left ideologies into what was never there. What a total crock of absurdity. No Maple, Albanians are not a race.....I can become an Albanian, I can't become an African.....I should know...I've measured and I'm missing the required extra two inches. They have their own language They are one of Europe's populations with the highest number of common ancestors within their own ethnic group. They also have specially adapted hands to facilitate wringing out damp leather.

I heard "Any Questions" only last Thursday on Radio 4 which had a Brexit Party MEP on the panel and I believe that "Question Time" too had such a representative. Just because there is a current wave of protest votes doesn't mean that you suddenly give equal coverage to those making the most noise. Such a policy could result in dire consequences. Broadcasters need to ensure that the arguments of protesters are heard but they need to keep a long term focus in view. MEPs don't sit in our Parliament. I realise that those who support a hard Brexit will feel outraged that their views are not being seen as worthy of equal air time but the fact is that they are in the minority, both in Parliament and in the country, and the BBC are merely reflecting that. Keeping a balance in these troubled times must be very hard for them.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |
