I'm not really up on things to do with European regulations. Is there a regulation that says you can't? Must admit I have no idea but I did think that the East Coast Line was taken back into public ownership. Actually im a remainer and I remember hearing something similar...I think you can but if its public it has to go to tender to another country. I will double check because even at the time I thought it was weird...

Bercow will ensure parliament has a say on that and that even charming, cuddly, harmless toff prime ministers cannot decree that unilaterally. The only way a no deal exit can happen, is if it is explicitly voted for by the public. The only way a no deal exit will be put on the ballot paper, is if revoking article 50 is next to it. There is no way on earth more people in this country want a no deal exit, than want to stay in the EU. Therefore we are now 1 day closer to the cancellation of Brexit. In your opinion others opinions are available (for now anyway). And Parliament should have a say on a no deal Brexit I have no issue with that. Of course the outcome may not be what you think.

This country, meaning the country in question. I didn’t twist what you said, spidey, I just hit “reply” and quoted what you said, exactly as it was, which is pretty common around here.

Don't think ME said he disliked them and showed no prejudice towards them did he? Originally posted by Maine Eagle
Think your spidey sense is a bit off again here, Pete. You don’t think he showed no prejudice, that would be a double negative. You didn't quote exactly what was said as you left out "Don't think ME said he disliked them" which correctly has a single negative as does the second half that you did quote so by editing the quote you made an incorrect point. Now can we leave it please

I'm not fundamentally against re-nationalisation of the railways as the way privationisation was handled and structured has resulted in rail having priced out many people......when it's meant to be a national rail service. I could be convinced....but surely the practicalities and cost would be strong arguments against.....it leads me to suspect that it's not really a sensible path to pursue.
