Quite.

All seemingly covertly filmed as he did it....which again, says a lot about the individuals concerned.....No doubt hoping for an adverse reaction from Cummings to broadcast on the remainer media.

One of the areas which Johnson has particularly strong feelings about is free speech and after he wins the next election I expect him to change the law and reverse the damage to free speech that this collective 'hurty words, hurty feelings' mob have done to it.....His own party being equally culpable.

Great Sargon video on this just out.

It's about the Conservatives now finding some muscle and going on the attack in parliament.

Are you some type of stupid. There was nothing in my post that was insulting or bad but perhaps it is just your way of still pursuing your rather limited arrogant way on this site. I can see from your "More United" site how you have become the way you have. They are aiming for the stars and will not get there.

On their site they say " A platform for cross-party co-operation can reform Britain" that in itself is a load of tosh as for three years the commons has continually been disagreeing right across the house and refused to agree on anything just to stop Brexit.

You live in a dream world Wisbech and I can fully understand why you are the way you are and there is no hope for you. There really is not....

If you don't think that calling someone "arrogant" isn't to insult them, which you do again as you deny insulting me, then I think you need a new dictionary.

Describing attempts to promote cross party co-operation" as "a load to tosh" says all that needs to be said about you. Everyone, whatever their personal political persuasion, really ought to be comfortable with such a concept. Is finding common ground and working towards the common good such a hard thing to accept? It might not work, but it's taking the first step in the right direction. Every journey has to start with a first step.

Seems entirely appropriate to me.

I read what the Express reports what the LibDems are reported as having written.

It all seems perfectly accurate and fair to me, and a straightforward summary of the situation in the UK. Johnson does lead a minority government. The prorogation was found unlawful. There are a significant number of people who want another opportunity to express their opinion. They are not trying to negotiate. They are just telling the truth.

Your abusive description is predictable but totally undeserved.

You really do need to start to appreciate that not everyone thinks as the group of hard line Brexiteers do. Some think as the LibDems do, and many others just don't want a no deal exit. Right now, in Parliament, the second two groups together hold the majority view.

Those with delusions will soon have them exposed in a general election.

It won't stop the disingenuous tosh but it certainly serve as the riposte that certain individuals require.

Johnson's inheritance was a minority which could operate by bribery of the NI MPs.

Now we have a genuine minority of -43.

That is before yesterday and its effect on lady MPs, expect a further exodus there.

After yesterday, the public, especially women voters, could have turned against the government.

I'm hoping that parliament can really put the boot into Johnson next week.

Are the death threats as a result of Boris Johnson saying naughty words like surrender or are they because despite his constituency voting overwhelmingly to leave the EU he is one of those MPs that do his own thing rather than vote as per his constituents wishes.

It isn't either.

Its the cumulative effect of the attitude being displayed by the current version of the Tory party and their refusal to acknowledge the supremacy of Parliament over the executive. Yesterday's debacle was only the tip of the iceberg.

The fact that an individual MP can take a different line to that of the majority of the voters in his constituency in a referendum ought to be vigorously defended by everyone in Parliament, including the government, as the fundamental cornerstone of our democracy. Those electors put that man into Parliament to represent them and not just be a puppet mouthpiece for them. Much more needs to be done to explain and defend that principle.

That Johnson's government encourage the "we will do what the referendum result told us to do" chorus is one of the reasons that people are getting threatened. So that and careless words are the reason. The blame lies solely at the government's door.

I hadn't contemplated the effect on women voters but it's a good and strong point. The idea that their families are also being threatened will weigh heavily in some minds. It isn't just the women who are affected of course, but they seemed genuinely frightened.

As Sargon says, eighty percent of the MPs in parliament ran on manifestos that said they would honour the result of the referendum.

Yet nearly the entire opposition voted against every Brexit option put on the table by May.

It's a zombie parliament, which no longer holds legitimacy that is hiding from the voters.

We need a new election and a true parliamentary picture of what the country sees as its future.
