Well unfortunately for you, CPFC2010 have been a little preoccupied with keeping us in business, getting promoted and signing international footballers. What a shame.

We've had the money to do it for all of about 4 months.

Where on this post have I had a dig at cpfc 2010, that's the whole point I'm making, so read my posts in future.

The council, local MP's and residents have stopped us from redeveloping, long before 2010 took charge.

And the people saying we've only been in the prem for 3 seasons, our stadium is not a good enough standard for a league 2 club.

Prior to my last post on the perennial & exciting development of a re fit and up grade of our outmoded and beloved Selhurst Park.

There are some very interesting posts on Stadium Redevelopment of Selhurst Park. In my opinion and with the greatest respect, the ideas and suggestions that the ground will be rotated, are a pie in the Eagle Sky, it would be too costly to implement, not just because Salisbury's in the way either. Of course we could buy Sainsbury out, but I think this is unlikely, and it's more of probable, Palace are and will work with the retail supermarket in development our up dated ground. Conservatively,It would at least require quarter billion to realize, to rotate pitch and new stands, and putting the club under tremendous financial stress, despite the millions coming from the other side of the pond and The Premiere League and Hopefully, Palace's way too. In my view it simple not practical, especially if the owners, would like to stay at Sehurst, whilst Reconstruction is underway, the club would have to more for sure, renting and costing even more money & strife.

The extension of Liverpool's stand is an option, though, I feel our Archibald Leitch stand, may not suit itself to a similar project, as there may be a problem with further elevation up an beyond, the present single tier viewing. New elevated seat would be very steep, Indeed.

Many of Leitch's single tiered, designs of early last century, have all but gone, Fulham accepted. Chelsea, mid 70s, replaced their East Stand, Blackburn rebuilt theirs as well. Huddersfield moved on from Leeds Road to present stadium. I feel a tear or two here.

I now feel it's, more likely, now, then not, if members stand,is unable to be externally extended, a completely New Structure will be constructed. Incorporating, executive boxes and superior facilities. If this is the case, just over 5,000 seats would, albeit, temporarily be wiped from ground seating, reducing the capacity to just over 20,000. Match day and Corporate Hospitably held in the unused floor space existing in the Holmesdale Road Stand. Any loss of revenue will be compensated by TV money, in the duration of the pending Premier deal and hopefully, not at the expense of our fantastic supporters. Any possible new stand roof will Aline with a new lower remodeled Holmesdale Road covering, I suspect.

My sense is that we still gradually, examining options. With increasing membership. Not before TIME you understand. Hoping I'm not counting my Eagles too early this time once again.

Truth and Reality is there are no easy solutions in the re upholstered grand O'le stadium. One aspects for sure I have total confidence in our high Parish Priest and the Pastoral Team that an up graded Selhurst is getting closer than not. Whatever happens...

It's really not that hard to work out and can't understand how people seen to think it's entirely down to finances and playing in the prem.

Let's face it the only people who are bothered about our club is the owners and the fans. No one else could care less and will make it as hard for us as possible.

If the plan is to demolish and rebuild the current Main Stand, they could do worse than think about rotating the pitch 90 degrees. Then:

The Holmesdale End could extend to become the Holmesdale Stand, with the Arthur Waite End and the newbuild End, plus a brand new Main Stand built in front of the current Sainsbury's monstrosity, using the extra 60 foot depth that rotating the pitch would create at the Whitehorse end.

I hope that makes sense, even if it's pie-in-the-sky.

The plan is to build a second tier behind the current Main Stand like they are doing at Anfield right now as it won't affect the current stand. Then reconfigure the concourse of the lower tier afterwards.

I think the delay has been down to negotiations with Sainsbury's who are the freeholders of the land.

Its just frustrating, I remember seeing pictures of our supposedly new stadium under the Goldberg era, Jordan era and we do constantly hear about it from CPFC2010. Would prefer they kept quiet rather than keep dangling the carrot.

Over half the prem have new stadiums or are in the process of moving, same goes with the chmpionship, a few in league 1 and we struggle to build 1 new stand, as I said its just frustrating and a little dissapointing.

I rather think the sentence "For a club our size it is not good enough" might have given the contrary impression?

Your explanation is pretty much how I understand extension of the members stand will evolve. I heard that season after next, perhaps subject to us remaining in Prem, club will seek to increase capacity to 32,000 by extending members stand, without closing enclosure, building structure possibly on car park behind stand or constructing over the stand, then joining extension to current structure after some alterations and re ordering. Indeed, I find it difficult to believe even with the millions and of money available our owners will tear down the up graded bars and facilities they invested in this antiquated stand. More likely to re upholstered and further improve fixtures and fittings.

I think any new club shop and removal present positioned porter cabins admin offices may form part of ground and 1st floor building blocks in this redevelopment. This may be similar in height to the current stand. The new extended main stand will incorporate executive boxes presently/temporary in Sainsburys end. By lowering the roof of the Holmesdale Road Stand it could be relined with the new roof on the main stand, though the properties at the junction would either have to be compromised or more likely be less truncated and perturbing. This represents the main challenge of design and engineering

In consultation with the super market the Club probably already looked at extending capacity with another bank of seating in Sainsbury's stand replacing exe boxes and catering for away fans.

There are those who feel Palace do not warrent a possible 35,000 plus stadium. I disagree. If we maintain our status as premiership club we will almost certainly will increase our gates. Even if we don't, we can supply a larger number of match day tickets for away supporters of bigger clubs.

My sense is that we are gradually, kicking and screaming, increasing our membership like not before in this Great Clubs History. Not before TIME you understand. Hoping I'm not counting my Eagles too early this time once again.

Do you talk like that at home?

Plans were not released. Some comments and statements were made. It takes a few million to get surveyors and solicitors to draw up plans of this size, probably why nothing concrete was released before SP went fishing for US investment. Once investment comes in, amount available and what's possible and plans to do it can change (no need for club and TV revenue to be used but also none of the investment is planned for squad costs)

Also, nothing has been progressed since then, probably because we were stuck on just over 30 points with the end of season drawing closer.

Although it looks like SP may reveal plans or minor details of plans and time frames this Summer, with his PR experience, I wouldn't be surprised that if we reach the FA Cup Final, press releases and short interviews on London news programmes and sport channels happen the week before. Timing is important in his game.
