The media is heavily weighted toward the left wing and progressive liberal stance.

Even the most ardent, die-hard Tory would have a struggle agreeing with that. Aside from the Guardian and the Mirror, there is no mainstream newspaper that is consistent in its support of the left. And certainly not the BBC, who seem to have swung the other way in order not to appear to have a left-bias. Twitter is probably the only really left-dominated social networking group, which of course explains the hatred of it by you and your ilk.

f*** me if the right are scared of two newspapers and one social networking site, when they control the rest of the media, then maybe they need to take a good look at themselves and what they stand for.

The Beeb frequently appoint known Tories as their political editors (Robinson, Oakley and I can't spell her name (you know who I mean)), I don't get this and as for The Guardian being lefty, take another look!! With the bias in the media it amazes me the Tories aren't a de fact one party state.

I thought Izzard on Question Time was doing a simultaneous impersonation of Neil from the Young Ones and Citizen Smith - with added hand gestures.

Well we all see what we want to see don't we.

What I see is progressive liberal(whatever they are calling themselves this week) bias everywhere.

Some see the media biased in favour of the progressive liberal left, others argue it's in favour of the right. Actually, the media just promulgates the establishment line. SAometimes that panders to leftist instincts, other times it plays to the right of British politics. Either way, people don't really swallow it.

Also the Guardian and Mirror, aren't very left wing either, where as some of the right wing media can border on 'Marching into Poland' at times. The Guardian is wonderfully schizophrenic as well, as its columns often have entirely different arguments (a truly middle class concept, arguing the toss, whilst the toast burns).

The Mirror is just the Sun with less tits.

Liberal and progressive, is kind of bias towards the middle of the political spectrum though, which is really kind of unbias.

I think a lot of people tend to think its bias, because its an oppositional point to their own personal biases and prejudices.

Take Gay Marriage, the liberal progressive point, is that all citizens should have the same rights as other citizens.

Progressive, Liberal Bias, is the kind of double speak, because being liberal and progressive are neither negative nor biased traits. They define a point in a spectrum from which the calculation of deviation (bias) is made.

The Newspapers used to have clear enough political affiliations - trouble is these days is that political parties are not really clearly defined on the political spectrum - every party fights over the blurred centre voters.
As for Eddie Izzard - I don't think he claims to be perfect but at least he stands up for what he believes in. Fair enough, he can be a bit of a dick but can't we all? I still am proud he is Palace.

but then you bump head first into those decrying equality as 'pc'. though of course those very same people always are angered when not treated equally and fairly themselves . hypocrites.

Much as I like Eddie and the fact he supports the Palace I thougt his performance on Question time was an embarrassment. His main policy are they are our near neighbours and we must help each other irrespective plus his shouting down of everyone was rather rude. He did not like to hear about your vote wanting to count and democracy etc He has helped convince me vote leave is best

Wow, so many people have put in so much effort to try to bring you the facts. With all of that information available to you to help you decide, the poor articulation of his view by one comedian swings it. Just goes to show that referenda don't make sense, unguided missiles where emotion - in this case a reaction to rudeness - often trumps logic.
