Just heard what he said. Fans were great team were great and then something like the Chairman had been great this week defending me to the investors which isn't easy after 6 defeats in a row.

Absolutely nothing wrong with what he said.

Unless you have an agenda of course

No, you missed out the bit about the investors not knowing a lot about football. If he had said what you have stated above then IMO that would have been acceptable. Whether you then have to question SP's level of patience/support is another matter.

In the bit they played on 5Live didn't he didn't say that. I listened for it as it was a few minutes after I'd read this thread. Possibly a different interview?

It will probably be shown on MOTD tonight.

Sounds like another nail in his coffin.
This was not a convincing win and the best thing was the clean sheet. Should he be blaming the investors so publicly?

We're so used to listening to his daft post match comments when we lose that we forget about the daft ones he makes after a win! It's been a while after all! Either way ... he'll say summat daft! Standard!!!

He did the obvious today making a clean sheet a 'priority' and lok what happened eh!

Glad we won naturally but he's still a dead man walking IMO!

Assuming he gave 2 interviews saying similar but obviously different things, I think the owners will realise it was more about thanking Parish than any slight against them.

He did say the investors didn't know a lot about football in the one on one post match. For the full quote, see:

I met Josh Harris at the pre season match vs Philly and he said he was still learning how football worked in England from a business standpoint as it is completely different from either the NBA or the NHL. He mentioned player personnel acquisition and salary structure as areas where he needed explanation from SP and AP. Given team ownership here is completely different from England, I don't see the big deal over AP's comments.

Christ. We win 3-0 and people pick apart the post match interview.

Sounds like people are offended on behalf of US investors they've never met. Maybe they are very open and honest about it with him, after all he has spent time with him that you haven't. Maybe they've said as much to his face. Who knows? Who cares? We won.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

I think Pards' comments to the media are often rather clumsy but who cares? Don't think you have to be a football expert though to understand that six defeats in a row and six wins in 2016 is a bit of a worry. Being a fickle fan I was firmly in the "Pards must go asap" camp walking away from the Liberty Stadium last Saturday as that performance was the biggest defensive shambles I can remember watching and suggested that he and his coaching team did not have the ability to sort it out. As other posters have said, we have played better then we did yesterday and lost eg Burnley, but credit where credit is due, Pards has changed things and we looked defensively much better. He also deserves credit for turning us into a high scoring team when lack of goals was a real problem last season. I think the jury is still out on Pards though and he needs a result against Hull, but for me he has done enough to keep his job for now.

He cant win with some people, who analyse every word. The bloke has had a tough run, but produced when under extreme pressure, it was obviously a big relief to supporters, except the idiots who demand sacking and hanging from the nearest tree.
We are lucky to have a Chairman who understands a bit about football and is left to run the club as he sees fit.
Just think of Blackburn and their Indian chicken farmers, ruined the club, Charlton has some megalomaniac ruining them, there are loads more.
What is not convincing about a 3-0 win after 6 straight defeats, please enlighten me.

Naive at best. They are stupid comments and show how unprofessional he really is with media.

The fact that he actually said this on national tv really shows how arrogant he is.

When the results go against him again as they will he will have no third chance...he will be sacked.

No it doesn't. He said the same thing but worded better on 5Live

It was about thanking Parish rather than criticising the Americans

You and several other posters have made your position clear for some time. Something you're entitled to do but the hoo ha about this is ridiculous

Just watched MOTD and people really are making a mountain out of a molehill.
