if a player is injured then he should not play, however I always thought that the best way to get match fit was to play coupled with training on the practice ground, are we saying Pardew allowed players to become unfit and therefore they are not fit to play, as Professionals its their job and pride that should want them to always be keeping themselves match fit, injuries excepted, if they are not then one has to question their right to be a Pro footballer? Spot on mate. I said this in another of the many many threads about Pardew/Allardyce. The players need to take responsibility, that includes eating the right food and using their many hours spare time hitting the gym instead of the PS4.

we should play the strongest team possible and try to emulate last seasons cup run. no messing about, a win would also do the players confidence no end of good.
