I guess that I am in the minority here, but I have seen Sakho a couple of times and I thought he was a quality defender both times. I also have some friends who are rampant Liverpool supporters who also think he is class.

As far as wages are concerned, from his point of view, why should he take a pay-cut to come to us?

That is not to say that I think we should pay £20 million for him, or pay him £120k per week. The way Liverpool have treated him should have devalued him and it is not right that Liverpool should expect to recoup all of their fee, even in these mad times.

My view is that we should offer to take him on loan and retain an option to buy at the end of the season if we stay up. If Liverpool are not willing to pay some of his salary then we should move on.

Well maybe but you're right. Sakho is not a rash player, prone to mistakes. There are no stats that back that up. I think people are associating him with 'pool's other defender who is/was prone to errors....Lovren.

That said - we really should get him at a bargain price given that they've devalued him this season.

Sign this guy we will stay up I guarantee! Great on the ball, powerful defender! Could be the best defender we've ever signed!

Well, there must be a chance of something happening if both he and his agent are in Loindon? His performance stats seem very good eg 89% pass completion rate (sorry Willo!)

Anyone doubting he's a quality player hasn't seen him play enough.

He does have a mistake in him though. But that doesn't mean he wouldn't significantly strengthen our first team.

But at £20m and/or £100k+ a week, I just don't see how we can possibly justify it.

You would presume he's here for a medical, discussions would have taken place by phone wouldn't they?? Hope so.

I presume that he is in London waiting for a flight to Swansea, or a train to Croydon or Southampton. The fact that he is in London is a complete red herring in my opinion.

Well if they are in Loindon I guess it's a ham fisted way of getting a leg up into one or other flank of our thighd.

Got to be a song to the tune of Xanadu by ABBA for this guy, which in the current market adds roughly 4m and 25k a week to his value.

It's called watching football games. Liverpool have supposedly been terrible at the back all season, why can't he get in? Even when Matip is unavailable?

Not saying I haven't seen glimpses, or he couldn't be a success with coaching but not for 20mil - that would be utter madness.

We're the Arthur over ere!
