I don't argue that he was/wasn't better then Allardyce but neither him or BFS are right for the job. Just for the record I loved Pardew and hoped it worked out but it didn't.

Agreed, the sad thing is that the team that finished high for 2 seasons (Pullis and Pardews first season) were out of there depth but just had so much fight. This team now on paper is pretty good but Jesus they couldn't care less.

Pardew was under-achieving 'yes' but I think most forgot the mantra soon after the season started that '17th is the aim and anything else is a bonus' We still had/have some average non-Prem level players in the squad so once injuries kicked in it was always going to be tight. But...his team did still play for the shirt and score goals.

All those idiots shouting for Pardew out they should take some responsibility for where we find ourselves now. Pardew never had us in the bottom three.....we use to score goals....we would have won the odd match and we looked a good side. Big Sam isn't the right fit for this club and as usual the wallies who shout the loudest help feck things up. The things they know about football could be written on half a matchstick.

Ok we lost against Chelsea and Man U by a goal to each in his last two games but boy our team gave them a fight and a fright. This team would lose by how much to those two now?
