Some insightful person on the BBS has pointed out that in each of the previous Chinese years of the Rooster (1981, 1993 and 2005) we have been relegated from the top flight. Yesterday was the start of the Chinese year of the Rooster.

It only happened yesterday and so details will be sketchy but the Physioroom website says - no return date and major doubt.
That does not sound good.
Jeez - how much bad luck can we have!

^^Very true Braunston. Palace were caught between a rock and a hard place, because during most of the period of Pardew[s tailspin, There weren't the better managers available.
I suppose we could have poached someone like Chris Hughton but nicking another manager under contract was going to cost the club big in buying him out.
Another option would have been to go after Pulis and we could waive his re-payment of the bonus as part of the deal.

I can see us getting 'Nil Points' in all our remaining games. We have to be reliant on clubs around us being worse than us, and maybe getting the odd surprise result ourselves.

While it's still mathematically possible to escape relegation, we have to keep fighting

Ron Atkinson would've been a better alternative to Supa Al.

i can see where the points can come from and we need 9 points for our next 4 games IMO.

bfs hasnt seemed to have the dressing room right now and i hope he gets it soon...thats not me slating him btw.

the glimmer of hope is that zaha is back, and im looking back to the 2nd have against swansea where we shown massive bollocks and went into every challenge like it was our last and attacked like we onow this team can do...this happened after sam must have admitted to himself he dropped a bollock in playing wilf on the left for the previous 2 1/2 games and we then looked like a team again.

i believe we convert back to cabaye further back with jimmy mac and wilf on the right & lets try kai-kai on the left wing for bournmouth, its time to take risks like that to try and change our fortunes.

we just need to feed bentekkers properly again as hes got sooooo many goals in him, but he cant feed on scraps.

He could try moving about a bit and making an effort. Compare him with a journeyman like Steve Morison at Millwall who showed today just how a forward should play.

I totally agree with you on Benteke moving around a lot more which also applies to Hennessy he should as well instead of standing there like a wet sheet letting goals in every five minutes

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

There are 48 yes 48 bloody points to play for. You speak like we have about 3 games to go and reliant on others to keep us up!
Start getting positive, long way to go and no doubt many twists and turns! Still early days of the new regime.

I very much concur with these sentiments.

I agree we still have time to turn it around and climb the table. Once the team get into a decent fitness and training regime I think we will see a change also the incoming new players will be an asset as long as we do not have too many injuries.

Which incoming players? So far we have signed one, and he is now out for up to three months.
I thought Swansea was a catastrophe, losing to Everton the way we did was a catastrophe, now losing Schlupp is a catastrophe. On top of all that we can't sign any of the players Sam wants, and we have just lost the one he did.
This is not going well. If Sam pulls this one round, he is a miracle worker.
