Positive is the main stand can be bulldozed and rebuilt with little affect on fans being unable to get tickets.

There isn't a positive. Ask a Ipswich fan if they would swap places with us. I think it's ludicrous to think that we would stomp the championship. Winning can be seen as a habit , then losing is aswell. Look at villa, who I would compare us to if we were relegated. Lose all our best players. I support Palace for 20 odd years at in that time we've been promoted 3 times, normally mounting in at least 5 to 6 years in the championship, until a playoff push. Get real if championship is good for this club.

Wait, how did Pardew ruin our academy?

Unless its changed recently?, Pardew made the decision to move the U18's out of Copers Cope with absolutely no plan to find a suitable new location, for a year the U18's floated about training at a few different locations before settling on the 5 aside pitches at Goals in Beckenham, hardly the ideal location for a Premier league u18 academy.

Between Parish & Pardew they have actually taken our Academy backwards.
I like Parish, he has done so much for this Club however should we go down f***ing our academy will harm us long term.

Gain 80 million + in transfer income , halve the wage bill .In addition add 87 million over 3 years in parachute payments. New stand, win games of football, and most satisfying of all, watch the young stars break through to the 1st team. Plenty of positives, there is no progress or accomplishment without sacrifice. Club needs a good clear out, and it's nearing.

It's amazing isn't it that Brighton are looking forward to playing in the top flight next season whilst quite a few of our supporters are happy playing second fiddle to them

It's the ebb and flow of football, unless you support an elite club you play second fiddle to a rival at some stage. No, I'm not happy about it but it's part of the beautiful game in which millions of supporters have to take on the chin and move on. My post was looking at the positives as per the thread, not if I'm happy or not.

I wouldn't like to be in the Championship but it gives us the opportunity to rebuild from our Academy and lower league players with potential and who are hungry to fight for success. There will be some clearout of our current players - even we manage to stay up by a whisker of a point. The only thing I hope we don't end up like QPR a couple of seasons ago when they went down saddled with expensive players.

It is fallacy to think we would come straight back up with our current lot minus Benteke, Townsend, Zaha and our January buys. You can see we had struggled to beat Bolton in the FA Cup.

Other than turd-polishing, there's been no meaningful work done in the last four years in the PL, and that's with a £50m injection of US cash. There certainly WILL NOT be any building work done if we're relegated.

I just want this season to end. I've been resigned to the fact we are down for ages and have made peace with it. Just want to stop seeing us lose now. We're f***ed as it is.

The only positive I see is the disappearance of those "supporters" who think it's a good idea to scream abuse at the players, and run on the field of play to confront them, when things go wrong.
