Nice rant Hrolf but I don't have a problem with a right wing politician taking over the post of editor of a right wing newspaper. I have more of a problem with an MP having multiple jobs whilst still coining his full salary as an MP.

Me too. But I don't think that is what the thread is really about.

The fact that he is a Tory.

The little tw@t is just lining himself up for London Mayor next time round, the sort of thing he would do. He still has sour grapes with losing his job when Theresa May kicked him out of his office ... that was a good move in itself as he was getting too big for his boots.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

There is no scenario I can imagine that would give the oily little c*nt a snowball in hell's chance of being elected mayor in London. Even diehard Tories find him repulsive.

Of course you do as the correct spelling is T.W.A.T (minus the.) so all I have done is replace the "A" with a @ Nick. Anyway when I went to school that is how it was spelt

This thread is just more hypocritical tripe from Gusset.

The left bang on about paranoia and prejudice and yet here it is displayed by a lefty.

You might think that the man is a cretin or that MP's should not have two jobs but the fact that he is a Tory MP is by the by. I didn't hear anyone on the left claiming bias when Alan Yentob was director of the BBC for example. That worked out well didn't it.
It's OK for an Iranian Jew to control the flagship broadcaster of Britain but it's terrible when a Tory overseas one newspaper?
So the left obviously like some potential bias and influence more than others. What a shock. They are aghast if someone suggests the idea that Britain will be undermined by foreign influence but God forbid a Tory having any.

Give me a break.

Iraqi and he wasn't Director General so "control" is something of an exaggeration. As he was born in Britain, I believe that makes him British, does it not?

Yes, 'Controller of the BBC' obviously implies that he had no control.

And people really must get over their obsession as to where people were born. Allegiances and prejudices are determined by more than your birth place.
In any case, the point od my post, which you have conveniently avoided was about selective objection to bias.

John Prescott. 'Osborne has got 6 jobs, I only had 2 jags.'

Doesn't matter from what party they come, a sitting MP becoming a newspaper editor is a conflict of interests in my book.
