One of the assertions that people really struggle to accept is that George Osborne has created more new debt than every Labour government in history combined, yet its true and our children and possibly their children are saddled with this debt.

There is no record of Labour chancellors running reckless budget deficits if Roy Jenkins was alive now and saw 1.7 trillions of debt he would have an absolute fit.

People find it difficult to accept because it conflicts so badly with the narratives they've been conditioned to accept as true through their endless repetition in the mainstream media.

SPOT ON! Osborne actually missed every monthly forecast and easily doubled national deficit during his tenure as Chancellor. (Quite why the likes of Blackrock would wish to employ the services of a failed Chancellor is beyond me) Oh, and let's not forget adding a further £2trillion of personal debt amassed by folk spending beyond their means (whether 'forced to' or 'voluntary')

Good for her, it's just for the wrong party.

BS and most know it. If today's Labour had been in charge from 2008 this country's economy would never have bounced back.

Though I don't feel Ed and Balls (ah that joke never gets old) would have done too badly.....But this is a very different Labour party.

As always you have no argument because it is the truth.

Dont let facts figures and evidence get in the way of your myopia.

How do you know the economy wouldn't have bounced back. Has it even bounced back. Looking at the figures released today.

Just to clarify an earlier post of yours where you used the term 'abhorrent w****r?'

Would you reassure other posters on this thread that you were describing yourself?

How the f*** does that support your argument that Labour handle the economy better?

I see a reduction in public sector borrowing from 2010 onward. Exactly what you would expect.

Come on its two terms in as Prime Minister, time enough to stop blaming the last guy. Cameron had plenty of time and free reign to do what he wanted and it doesn't seem to have gotten better.

Can't just keep blaming the previous government.

Even if it's true?

There are figures and numbers in there.

This is just a desperate exercise in trying to over come the widely held view that Labour always f*** up the economy.

What I see is us paying debt payments from the last Labour governments excessive borrowing. I don't know what you are seeing.
