I just don't get the Ed Sheeran thing.

It's when I officially understood that I must be 'past it'.

Sulks back to his computer and morosely double clicks on 'Hungry like the Wolf'....then reaches for a bag of crisps.

I hope your hatred of Ed represents the views of your company, otherwise you could be for the chop sonny Jim!

I always include some Ed on the Hrolf house playlist so the kids think I'm still aware of current pop music.
I figure the occasional Sheeran and Rihanna track sandwiched between all the 70's and 80's stuff is fair. I still think that Oasis are new TBF.

No. Music just went downhill in the 90's.

I'm identifying it as after 1984.

Essentially after Matthew Wilder's Break My Stride...it was 'game over' man.

For me music was good until 1999, but then I am younger than you guys. But at least it's only 9 years we disagree on.

Well, 15 with Stirling's comment.

Things went a bit Scritti Politti and then everything was a sample, except Oasis, who were a Beatles/Slade covers band.

I'm just not getting my head around you getting funky to 'Pump up the jam.'

You were obviously never at any of my parties.

I do have eclectic musical tastes in truth.

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.
