Arsenal's asking price for Chambers is edging closer to what Liverpool demands for Sakho. Think the Reds will accept 26-28 mill. for the Frenchman. If the 8 games he played last season are smt to go by, he's worth every penny - he made the whole defence a solid unit. And his chest-down and back heel to goalie WH was worth a couple of millions alone...

It's not a simple as that, Sakho is a big earner and would want double the wages of chambers, add to that chambers age at 22 if he was impressive for 2 years , he could be worth double.

I had to laugh this morning when I spotted a Sky Sports headline that said "Frank de Boer gives the latest update on Calum Chambers" so I clicked on the link to hear FdB reply "I'm not going to say anything about that"

Not a centre half and very much a reactive full back. We will have to pay premium money for someone who is not the finished article. We need a strong centre half who instills confidence through the team and knows the game. Sakho anyone?

If we are going to pay £20 million for Chambers (£5 million at best for me) why don't we try to get Sakho for £25 million? He is a far better player.

All boro supporters think he'd be a great signing for Palace. I think it's an exciting signing with Riedewald also. Maybe one more if we're greedy another left sided cb.
