You must remember that the world is not equitable just because the Republican attack on Clinton did not work; it does not mean the old "shower" lover will get a free pass.

Equitable? The point is the bare faced hypocrisy of it.

I was completely against the impeachment of Clinton on sexual behaviour. It had nothing to do with his job. I'm not a hypocrite on Trump either.

But like I said early on in this thread, many Democrats don't give a damn about principles. They present themselves as 'going high' but in reality they are just as in the gutter as the worst of them.

Did not call you a hypocrite, at least not on this point; just pointing out just because one gets off, it does not mean the other will.

As for the actual behaviour, I don't think it is up to me or you to dictate to the US about their principles' as a fundamentalist Christian society, their social mores are bound to be more prudish than either of ours.

I think a lot of his support does come from a reaction against political correctness. Polls show that not many people actually think Trump is a nice guy....that's why this bedding of a brass is just going to bounce off of him (unless he misused funds)....People know what Trump is.

The hyper reactions to him actually firmed his base support. Lots of people are sick of the race based finger pointers and absurd purity testers who dominate the media and the Democrats.

When he won I celebrated.....despite not really supporting any of the main planks that republicans run on.

But then again, Trump isn't a modern republican.....he's a nationalist who's a mixture of old democratic and republican attitudes.

he cracks me up to honest, literally no fcks given. I really do think he's a breath of fresh air, and couldnt give a s*** about all the PC crap that wraps us in its ever tighter hypocritical grip.

Say what you like him, (and people do) but he's the first President to slap Jun-un back in his box and get him talking to the South Koreans, so he can't be that thick as people would suggest.

Other than their wives no one should give a crap about who they did or didn't f***.

In France it's practically obligatory to have an affair when you get the big job, and no one would blame Macron for doing so.

French president calls Aussie PM’s wife 'delicious' [Link]

Remember the media uproar and frothing at the mouth by lefties when President Trump was overheard telling French First Lady Brigitte Macron that she is in 'good shape'? [Link]

One rule for one...

Slightly different when it's not your first language.

It's a gaffe.

Still it's right to draw parallels between the treatment of Trump and other foreign presidents and leaders.

Trump's actually doing quite well. The claims against him also seem to have ebbed away.....Yet the silence is deafening.

The mainstream media are very far from objective, yet plenty of them claim to be.

But you're comparing apples with pears by using the BBC for one and the Guardian for another.

BBC on the Trump incident: [Link]

"The US president told France's first lady, Brigitte Macron, she looked beautiful and complimented her figure."
