Just realistic. I'm not saying I don't want to survive WWIII in order to witness WWIV first hand.

As I've often said though, living a healthy lifestyle is just taking the longest possible way to die.

Oh, and I had a bad day at Goodwood yesterday.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

There will never be a WWIII, because the weapons are so destructive there'll be no history books to give it a name

No point in worrying about things out of our control. If mankind destroys itself, this planet will live on.
Enjoy the moment. You don't know what's around the corner. Some folk went out today and died from a medical condition or a car crash.
I work in a hospital and many got diagnosed with cancer today and every day, just as I did 5 years ago. I didn't see that coming.
So as I said enjoy life mate, help others and live life to the full.

people are becoming more selfish, celebrity obsessed, and scummy scruffs in general.
Just got back from local Asda.
Chav loitering at till(she had the till lady bag for her) just walks off down the back of the store, leaving her distressed small child.
there is a McDonalds in this Asda...
yes, she'd seen it was quiet and pissed off to buy herself a burger(c***)
So now the chap next inline, myself & the woman behind me wait while she buys buger(kid wails) and does not rush back as shes now taking selfies at McD's.
C unt then strolls back(in her slippers) and asks the till lady if she has finished packing.
Gets out local authority vouchers and pays for her(free) shopping.

Kids, tired of being bothered by your pesky parents?
Then leave home, get a job & pay your own bills, while you still know everything.

Has humanity taken itself past a tipping point.
Reading about dead zones, radioactive waste, a heightened threat of nuclear engagement, religious wars, rampant capitalism, world leaders who don't seem to have a clue, iffy ways of getting fuel from the ground, many extinctions, disposable societies and love island. Everything seems to be wrong.

Am I being melodramatic or are we hurtling towards the endgame?

Given the infinite number of stars and infinite number of planets orbiting them, it is inconceivable that there isn't a world out there which has spawned life that has evolved far in advance of ourselves. So why haven't we seen or heard of them?

1) The prime directive; or

2) The propensity for dominant species to over-procreate to the point they f*** themselves into extinction.

We are currently on the latter path.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

regarding the question of ''have we reached a tipping point ..ie a point of no return ?

That happened when the agricultural revolution created more people for this world than could be supported by the hunter-gatherer lifestyle. We just cannot grow the wild boar fast enough to replenish the forests.

circa 6,000 years ago.

now, don't get me started on my rant about the day the petrol stops being cheap. The irish population was halved because of an over-dependence on potatoes. Now before your scorn and laugh at their folly, ask yourself one question.....remove the cheap Petrol from your world and how much of it will crumble ?

Edit : ok, its when the cheap Fossil Fuels start to run out. Royally F...cked. Happy ?

The Irish people were not over-dependent on potatoes; the land in Ireland was largely owned by British land owners who grew plenty of wheat and other cereal crops, but exported it to England rather than use it to produce bread and feed the population. the famine was largely caused by the indifference of both the British government and the landowners to the suffering their policies produced.

Cheap petrol will be irrelevant in 25 years time, as petrol cars will be a thing of the past.

In Venezuela where socialism has been running the country for quite a while they are currently shooting dogs in the streets for food.

It is far from perfect here but we are doing a lot better than that.
