Islam is a cult that has got out of hand like all big religions/faiths. There is no WRONG religion like there is no WRONG race. The vast majority just go about their daily lives not bothering anyone but throughout history all have had their nutters - i mean genuinely mentally ill - who take the extreme views a bit too far and into murderous violence. At the moment extremist Wahhabis/Salafists are the big problem but who is to say in 50 or 75 years it won't be Bible Belt terrorists or Ultra-Orthodox Jewish killers who are getting all the headlines?

You brought up Islam and have moved the thread away from NK...which isn't good....I don't mind myself but it's a bit confusing for those reading.

You make some valid points but your emphasis about Islam is just wrong. Your portray of it is just divorced from reality. Name me the Islam majority country you would permanently live in? The reality of that proves that you talk absolute nonsense. Nutters are everywhere, that is another deflection from reality.

Now you can carry on waffling about Islam on the NK thread or you could discuss NK.

Turkey. Lots of Brits live there. I spent a month backpacking around it years ago. Lovely place and the people I met nothing less than genuinely friendly and kind. That Erdogan fella is a total cvnt though.

What do your legion of 'Turkish friends' think of Erdogan?

Erdogan, is what most people in Turkey want.

Turkey is awful if you aren't a tourist but probably the least worse Islamic country. When you going?

Anywhere else? With all those peace loving people about, should be loads of Islamic majority countries to live in.

Explain why loads of ex-pats live there then and plenty from other countries too?

Away from the tourist centres and cities Turkey is essentially 3rd world, it's why the flights arrive at night, so you don't see the deprivation in which the people live.

Not answering my question but I see you feel that it's ok to ask me another one. Well, unlike you Kermy I don't bulk at answering questions.

A percentage will be Muslims, a percentage will be converts to Islam. A percentage will have business interests there. A percentage may just like the culture.... I don't know. It's not really relevant...what are you saying? Turkey is awful but it's hardly representative of most Islamic majority countries anyway which rather tragically make it look good.

Turkey is an Islamic majority country that voted in its non secular religious party....It's getting what the majority want.

Please can we get this back on to North Korea and the possible bombing of Guam?

Personally I can't see it happening becauase it will give the US the excuse to bomb NK they are looking for. However Kim Jing Un is very difficult to predict. Perhaps one of his relatives will murder him.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Perhaps...but being pulled apart by horses might prove a big incentive not to.

NK are probably looking for full nuclear capacity and then protection money by threats....unfortunately similar methods have worked in the past.

There is no good answer to this....The only way to avoid conflict could be by making NK very rich......They have 13, 000 artillery pieces trained on Seoul. You could nuke them but they could still kill hundreds of thousands in Seoul before their artillery is silenced.....that's including the radiation from the many nukes you'd need.

South Korea can pay the blackmail.....If they threatened my children I wouldn't want to live in Pyongyang or Seoul.

There are no good answers....But we will get an answer soon enough whatever it is.

If The Peoples Republic of North Korea attack Guam (including firing missiles just short of the land) the USA will carry out non-nuclear air-strikes against them. This will be followed by demonstrations in London with middle class people carrying placards printed by the Socialist Workers Party with the slogan "Not In My Name" on them.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely....or something like that. When you've murdered all possible relatives who could pose a threat to your leadership, have a population that is brainwashed and is hell bent on developing weapons of mass destruction is a sure fire recipe for serious trouble.

What Trump needs is a war, with NK sabre rattling that is now a distinct possibility. An unprovoked attack on Guam, a US territory where it's citizens are all US citizens would be a declaration of war. This will not end well for anyone especially Kim Jung In.

I'd consider not worrying about the fallout anyway because there isn't much you can do anyhow. Learn to love the bomb and all of that.
