Yet another example of progressive activists and their mouthpiece friends in the mainstream media bullying companies to domonise harmless gender stereotypes that they find 'distasteful'.

Here's the BBC link.
[Link]

Yet, when girls are portrayed as acting like boys they don't seem to moan at all or vice versa.....pushing the lie that there are no differences between the genders.

The Google memo described how this ideology of no differences between the genders isn't only anti science research but it discriminates against people to its own ends.....proving that really it's not better than what it replaces....Well, it's worse actually because research actually supports differences between the genders.

It's not one gender being better than the other, because they are just different....but to the activists unless we are all the same....some evil is being committed.

Dolly Babe shoes for six and seven year old girls? What a ridiculous and stupid idea and whoever thought of that is a total prat and probably a bit dodgy.

Really?

What is bad about it? Babe is a term of endearment, and Dolly is an extension of Doll. It's pink and has hearts on it

Outside of this ridiculous requirement to seemingly make everything gender neutral I'm at a loss as too why you would regard it so aggressively. Are you sexualising it or something?

But I knew you would chime in....being the 'progressive poster boy'....oh sorry.....Don't want to pigeon hole you.....whatever ever gender variant you choose old boy/girl/zee/thee/etc

Girls school shoes in Clarks are crap. All are open at the top. Little bit of rain and the wearer has soggy socks.

Stirlingsays do you really think Dolly Babes is a good name for under tens?
You are stuck in the 70's.

Edit: Dolly Bird. a young woman who is thought of as attractive but not very intelligent

I think that's where the connotation comes from.
Even Jacob Rees Mogg thinks it's out of order.

If you are asking me would I name them that....no...it's a bit silly....yeah a bit 70s

If you asking me if there's anything wrong with it....no...I think the social media reaction is barmy...It's bullying of companies to try to make everything gender free of any stereotype.....like there's something wrong with gender difference.

Ah, you are going down the obtuse route already. When was the last time you addressed a little girl as dolly or babe? Never that's when. If some bloke your age called my nine year old daughter a 'babe' he would have to explain himself pretty sharp-ish even if he couldn't talk properly due to his teeth falling out.

When was the last time you addressed a little boy as 'leader'?

So you are sexualising this.....Wow. It really is unacceptable that people like you do things like this.....It's a pink shoe with hearts on it! If people don't like the name....guess what....they don't buy it.

Some men call their daughters 'babe', Mum's too....why would someone else be doing it?....It would hardly be people not closely related to the child getting the shoe would it? Besides the name of the shoe rarely makes that much difference to buying it...well never to me anyway.

As for you mentioning your fighting prowess.

Dolly Bird? Now you are at it. If it was called Dolly Bird I'd agree with you...that's inappropriate But it isn't. 'Babe' is a term of endearment. My sister used it for her kids amongst others.

This sexualisation of anything that denotes 'attractive' isn't good. There is a difference. There is nothing wrong with calling children babe, and girls even have the name Dolly.

I don't give a monkeys's uncle what Mogg thinks.

From the BBC article I think it's plain that it's about a push to make things gender neutral.

That's what I was moaning about....Can we stop talking about sex in relation to this.

Progressive activists? Mainstream media? You spend far too much time on far-right websites. We can play "spot the right wing cliche" on your posts. Give it a rest!

You have lost the plot big time and have for a while now. The shoes are called Dolly Babe and they are aimed at and for little girls. They are not called Dolly shoes which would be fine. Adding the Babe makes it dodgy and how you can't see that is rather odd.

And how is your fighting prowess you 19stone hulk of muscle you? Yeah, yeah, yeah - i know you like boxing but a sloth could k.o. an old fella that size. Was that you in Marseilles last year v the Russians?
