How we deal with the established Church and the national anthem are matters that can be kicked into the long grass for now. Charles seems broadly in favour of greater inclusiveness. William even more so. So I guess a solution could be found which satisfies most. Maybe we change the words of the anthem or, in time, broaden the meaning of "God" sufficiently to still be acceptable. It's very unlikely to happen in our lifetimes, though.

Whereas, where the alternatives to capitalism have been tried, people have been reduced to eating their own children due to starvation. It's an opinion, and a suggestion on where our direction of travel may take us. If all you want to do is blow hot air at the problem of radical extremism and blame others for its existence, then fine. You won't make any difference. I have not expressed an opinion on whether the way the authorities handled things in the past was either wise or unwise. Hmm…could create wistfulness for times gone by. I consider a hike to be from a barstool to the Gents so that will have to suffice for this proposed WisYomp. Also there are more people I don’t know than ones I do so it could get pricey.

That is a direct lie from a liar. He most certainly has expressed preference for how the authorities handled it. He even claimed to have known about what was going on decades ago. His early posts on this are quite different from how he posts now.

His early posts on this are quite different from how he posts now. Your memory either fails you or, more likely, you misunderstood the sense of what I was saying because of your prejudices. I have a general sympathy for the under-resourced Police and Social Services, who are asked to juggle many balls and then take the flak when something goes wrong. I have always believed, and said, that those who commit these offences need to be detected and prosecuted with the utmost vigour, and their victims provided with appropriate support. I have also said that doesn't mean we should ostracise a whole community as a consequence. Finding the balance is a challenge that none of us have the responsibility for, yet many seem to think they know better. I was aware of a problem a long time ago, in the immediate area I was then living in. I didn't know, and still don't, whether that was replicated elsewhere back then.
