I'm tired of Wilf's petulance. His attutide is wrong and I think it's effecting his play. It seems that he turns up thinking he is great and that he should automatically be scoring goals but he isn't.

He needs to work hard and put his head down.

I do believe he can play better then he is playing now, but at the same time I don't think we should doom monger about what will happen when we inevitably sell him.

Lets hold our horses and see what happens, it's impossible to predict and if he really wants to go we're going to have to let him go anyway.

When Wilf finally leaves for another EPL club, I do hope our midfielders/defenders don't allow him anywhere near our penalty area, cos we all know what will happen.

Just a thought.

I anticipate a spate of Zaha transfer stories up to the January transfer window.
In the last week he has been linked with Chelsea and Man Utd.
Apparently he has given notice to his agent but cannot appoint a new agent until the notice is served.
I’m sure there are potential agents promising him a move and planting stories to demonstrate their influence with a view to becoming his new agent.
Wilf has cut a frustrated and distracted figure this season.
When a player is no longer committed history tells us they eventually get their wish for a move.
The only question for me is whether it’s January or the summer.

As I said in an earlier post , if and when safe, we should start the rebuild ASAP. If that means offloading Wilf to find rebuild then so be it .Lets add more quality and depth while we are not in a relegation dog fight.

Recent dealings with managers, squad acquisitions, contract extensions etc make me extremely wary as to how the revenue created by the sale of WZ will be used.
FdB.
Jach, Rakip, Sorloth.
Wickham, Benteke.

Money for old rope.

Whether we like it or not football is business. Wilf is an asset the club has. He is in his late 20's now and will probably not develop further than what he is now, certainly not at our club, but might around a better squad of players and coaching staff. His value from here onwards will only depreciate.

In the summer I certainly did not want him to go, last season we were completely reliant on him. but, this season Roy has molded us into a more cohesive (all-be-it more negative) unit. We are not as reliant on Wilf as we were. Will we be relegated because we sold him? (Many said we would be after selling AWB). Probably not. Will we reinvest any money made off of him into viable acquisitions? Probably not, not while the club is in a stagnent financial situation as we are.

If the offer is right we should, and probably will take it. It's smart business sense.

Yes you're right our football recently does suggest we would not miss him half as much as last season, whether that is down to Zaha himself or the way we are playing is debatable though because he appears lost to me, the quicker he does go means our club can move on and we need to move on the sooner the better, we do not need players who are not happy ..it could bring everything crashing down.

As I said a few pages back, I do think United is the best fit for him from the big clubs. James on the right and Wilf on the left and Rashford and Martial would give make them a huge threat on the break. There aren't many top attacking players outside the top 6 who have PL experience and who could add a real threat, so this rumour doesn't seem that far fetched. Plus United could get him cheaper due to the sell-on clause. I think it all really depends on what Parish wants.

didn;t read that post A few pages back....but I couldn't disagree more.
at ManU he'd be competing directly against Rashford...who Plays the same position - Left side of a front 3. Martial is their middle man (but they realistically need a better one) meaning That they have Rashford, Martial and James who would all be competing for the Same spot Wilf Plays in.
That and there's a good chance that OGS isn't gonna be there next year, it'll be like Groundhog day Again for Wilf. Move to a club under 1 manager, then another comes in and may not like him. He can;t afford that anymore.

I think both Arsenal( and maybe Spurs) are Ideal for him. He's an Arsenal style player through and through. He Dribbles, links up pretty well, is exciting, gets Fouled a lot(and Fouls a lot) has little end product and prone to the odd sulk!

Take the money and get rid.

Disruptive and disinterested. It’s been like playing with ten men in most games this season and his performance, attitude and application at Sheffield United in the first away game was nothing short of pathetic!

That has sadly set the tone for his appalling form this season. He has lost some pace, which as a winger is key and is not taking people on any more and is not scoring or providing goals (one assist and one penalty award all season).

I acknowledge the terrific player he has been for the club but he is just way too big for his boots now. Time to cash in whilst he’s still worth something and at the same time rid us of the disruption and negative influence that he and his entourage have become.

It will be very interesting to see what happens in January.
