[By the way, not sure how they will dismantle non-existent 'Imperialism'. Also dismantling Capitalism! That's gone well where it has been tried before hasn't it.]

You might be being played, but not by who you imagine we all are!

I took a look, for the first time ever, at the "Black Lives Matter" website this evening. Thanks for giving me a reason to do that. Whilst I didn't read every page I saw nothing at all which suggests that their "stated aims" resemble your claim in the slightest.

Indeed, this is what it says "whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives."

I don't have much sympathy for a movement which describes itself as "Black Lives Matter" because I believe that ALL lives matter, and none of us ought to categorise ourselves by the colour of our skin, or any other arbitrary difference. There are no white or black races. We are all one race. So using that title adds fuel to the problem, instead of solving it.

That said, it's obviously better to attribute it's aims accurately than to distort them.

Nor do I have any time for violence when protesting. Whether that be by the left or the right. That some are determined to infiltrate groups and cause trouble is obvious. Who knows how much of that has been going on recently.

Disagreeing with the way the Police respond to a protest you don't agree with is no reason at all to decide to become vigilantes. There is a correct way to raise your concerns and a wrong way. Deciding to try to confront another group is the wrong way. Quietly observe, video and then report is the right way. Don't try to do the job of the Police, however much you might disagree with them.

It seems some on both sides are much more interested in the thrill of a good fight, or riot than they are in the underlying causes. When latter-day skinheads start to describe themselves as "patriots" then I quickly dismiss their authenticity.

There are issues that need to be dealt with. Racism exists and it's very destructive. It is though very deeply embedded in our psyche. So deep in some cases that some are in total denial about themselves.

The trouble with Black movements which claim to oppose institutional racism that holds their demographic back like BLM or Antifa is that it is all based on a lie.

Firstly, BLM doesn't really care about Black lives. If they did, they would focus on the vast overwhelming majority of Black killings which are done by other Black people.
Second. The UK and USA are not racist countries full of 'White supremacists.' How many countries do you know where a minority Black demographic can boast a recent Black President and a very healthy political representation throughout. It doesn't add up.
The idea that people don't get on in life simply because of their skin, is not supported by the facts.

What about the killing of Black people by Police in the US where all this started?

In fact, per head, more White people are killed by Police but of course, you don't hear about those. It doesn't fit the narrative.
That is in a country where 50% of all murders are committed by young black men making up only 3 to 5% of the population.

Still think BLM are legitimate?

What were the speeches about. How everyone bame is persecuted and not given a fair crack. You know that's a lie.

The best one was a South Asian guy saying study hard, work hard, get into a good position. Also include everyone in the search for a just and equal society. Look after all minority groups. And go home peacefully.
