It’s very easy. You look for facts.

And here in lies the rub.

Disagree, one man’s facts are another’s fake news.

Well, we are both getting a good laugh out of it.

As for what's coming to Cornwall over the next few generations I think my children will be continuing my laughter for me.

Increase in timeshares and poverty?

Nope, facts facts are facts if they have the evidence. Otherwise you are playing into the hands of monsters.

Why we no longer value that is another question.

Relativism is an inch away from nihilism. I don't believe either is 'useful' outside of the theoretical.

Word play is semantics. All words are conceptual.

Of course not everything written in the Guardian is nonsense by a long mark.....However, some of it is....This is my 'interpretation'.

We could discuss philosophy or we could discuss who are the more objective new sources from an objective and empirical sense.

There is no requirement to agree......Some people in Africa still practice witchcraft, some people don't. Choice is paramount to both.

I make the choice to laugh at witchcraft for obvious reasons...Similarly I make the choice to laugh at this Guardian article.

How objective is your review of these news sources really?

Could it be that you’ve made up your mind & seeking sources to confirm that view?

Granted sources and the context of how facts are deployed and framed are important, as I’ve experienced on here with people just making stuff up and passing it off as fact, but this is not really a fair statement.

Think about what you see with your own eyes. You’re 100% sure of that, right? Then read some more about how unreliable eyewitness testimony is:

So, what you know happened for a fact becomes more of an interpretation of events.

Facts can be contradictory. And that’s a fact.

When is someone really alive or dead.

Where does a circle begin.....I've already answered this relativism yet you still give me this.

Positions need to be taken.

Interesting chat, signing off now.

I doubt we changed each other’s mind at all. So a great waste of time really. But enjoyable nonetheless.
