Those investments was long time ago and it's like any business you need to spend to make Palace don't want to do this to cheap to even pay for quality staff

SP screwed up with bringing in those Americans who only was there to put the money into the stadium and he himself doesn't want to put anything in but takes out with all his little companies he has attached to the club

I think some people are being complacent.
Yes we played well against Arsenal and also in patches against Chelsea.
We also have some good players.
However, stating the obvious football is about stopping goals and scoring goals and we are not doing that with any consistency which means we are not accruing points.
Stoke and WBA also had good players and were deemed to be established clubs (models for us) that were too good to go down.
They also had non scoring strikers and leaky defences which led to their demise.
We have to get the basics right in both boxes or we will go down.

Those of us who are worried are not pant wetters we are bloody concerned!
The facts are there in black and white - 8 points from 11 games which translates over a season into approx 28 points which is certain relegation!
We are not defending well and we don't score many goals.
Hmm - let me think!!!!!
Add to that we have dropped shed loads of points to teams around us and we only have 2 points from our home games so far.
Hey - why be worried - silly me - it's all good news isn't it!!!!!

Thought we did Ok today. We didn’t look out of our depth and Meyer is starting to show what he can do. Hazard was the difference, Chelsea looked a different team when he came on.

I thought that we were shocking on set pieces, we had a couple of warnings before their second goal.

I was in the Chelsea end, and I thought the away support was fantastic.

I was a bit worried about Zaha, he looked frustrated and petulant. I think we may need to face up to life without him before too long.

However, I can’t quite see how we can have 8 points from 11. We are better than that.

I can understand the panic, but there is real cause for optimism. I would rather be us than Huddersfield, Cardiff, Fulham or Burnley.

That’s what we thought about Jordan Ayew and look how that’s playing out so far ......

Eight points from eleven games is disappointing. But we matched the Arse and gave Chelsea a game. And we could so easily have had more points by now - the Sakho open-goal miss v Newcastle cost us two, Ward's likewise at Watford cost us one. Luka's pen miss at Everton probably cost us at least one, and we keep hitting the woodwork. All these show that we are matching the mid-table sides. Once we are through the next two matches (Spurs, Man Utd) I think we will start getting the points we deserve. And the really good news is that there are three teams below us with rubbish defences - Cardiff, Fulham and Huddersfield.
