I'd liken it to the Kennedy assignation. If it were revealed that the Mob killed Kennedy and not just Oswald then it would be highly embarrassing. It would be even more embarrassing if they had had help from elements inside the US government.

Those stories will be buried until everyone who knows the truth are dead and then the truth will be whatever you want it to be.

That's not to say that I am convinced that the Moon landings were fake by the way. The weight of evidence is against that.

The official explanation as to why they haven't sounds like hogwash I have to say.

Plus the eye-witnessed take off etc. Also, there were 6 moon landings there after and unmanned landings until 2013. The reason they stopped going boils down to money: the space station makes money through research and development/product testing and mars expeditions for the unmanned crafts are cost effective given the tech investment and commercial viability. The moon, in short, doesn't bank coin.

The US government has alien technology or perhaps just human technology so advanced that it renders Moon missions redundant.

I would have thought the cost of sending a probe to photograph untouched landing site areas would be well worth it. To my mind, if there was the faintest sniff that the landings had been faked, Russia (and nowadays, CHina) would be all over it. They'd be hell-bent on exposing the 'cover-up' as a way of seriously embarrassing the States.

I would have thought the cost of sending a probe to photograph untouched landing site areas would be well worth it.

I find it hard to think that a small group of youtube-posting conspiracy theorists have more evidence than the might of the Russian space and Intelligence agencies.

Pictures have been taken of the landing sites but not close ups. I suppose that secret joint operations in space, perhaps with cooperation between the major powers, could be happening to keep it away from prying eyes. Pictures have been taken of the landing sites but not close ups.
