They don’t board without papers. I don’t know how many times I have to say this: You cannot remove people without a valid travel document, if you don’t know who they are or their nationality, they cannot be issued with one. No country will accept a person without a document even if it is proved where they have travelled from…. this is fact.

Does that include Rwanda?

If not surely anyone arriving by plane without documents could be automatically sent to Rwanda

I am not sure how his was proposed to work but suspect special arrangements were in place. With the amount Rwanda were to receive I am sure they would not be too insistent

So it really isn’t as cut and dried as you believe it to be. Oh and nothing to do with Brexit, has always been the case.
If you think this is ridiculous ( it is) perhaps you should contact your local MP

Head. Banging. Brickwall spring to mind Spider?

Most people claiming asylum arrive without documents or evidence of where they have come from. Most do not arrive from their home country, indeed the vast majority arrive via an EU country. I have “examined” many a document found mutilated in toilets either airside or on aircraft. Or the passports used to board are taken by the facilitator.
Yes they can and are identified but, as previously stated this is not sufficient to remove.
If you black listed every country that refused them, no one would be able to travel here! Forget free movement

I understand the problem, but wonder if there is a solution lurking in the background. Obviously, returning them to anywhere they have just transited through is not going to work, as, even if it is a safe country, they will dig their heels in.

It's their country of origin only that ought to be responsible. With the advanced biometrics now available, it ought to be possible to set up a system whereby everyone arriving from countries of concern can be identified and documented from information acquired pre-boarding. If that documentation can be established by us, with the international community, as sufficient to represent authentic travel documents, then our options improve.

It's getting such a principle established that would be the big hurdle.

So ideally we need to check everyone is documented before boarding their mode of transport and copies taken, if they then claim no docs we access the copies held by the transport carrier.

At the moment anyone who chooses to do so can arrive and be looked after for years and never deported

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Could be a solution on the way. At some stage anyway.

Fella arrives in from 'country x' and he is shouting

''oh , help me i am being persecuted and threatened back in my home country''

Fella gets accepted here & given help & a home.

6 months later.....fella goes on holiday, 2 weeks. Back to country x.

We have already seen a lot of this.

Yep. Ironic isn’t it and we are stupid enough to accept the situation.
Same as the tragic drowning of the Syrian boy attempting to get to Greece from Turkey. Photos of the father over his dead son’s body sent all over the World…and yet within the week the family were back in the Syrian vIllage they had fled from and burying their son.

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

Yep but only when they have secured a national passport. Travel Documents issued by HO exclude travel to own country. Doesn’t stop them having both

It has been happening for years. It’s called “hitting targets” set by Senior Civil Servants who are only interested in promotion and bonuses

Apparently the Charity Commission and the GLA are now investigating how Sistah Space spends its money.

Unfounded accusations by racist and sexist people no doubt.
