Why do the elites or globalists encourage the migrant wave? Because there's big money in it. Rupert Soames, CEO of Serco, is the brother of remainer Tory Nicholas Soames.

The companies that encourage migrants are the same lot who didn't want Brexit. It is all about cheap semi-skilled labour. If the migrants are turned around and the illegals prevented entry the profit margins for the big companies will plummet as they will then have to pay a fair wage to UK workers who have been undercut out of the market.

If we are going to have a build, build, build programme I am all for it, but only using UK workers and paying a fair wage. If restrictions on planning are going to be lifted then building land will become more plentiful and available at cheaper prices. The net result should be that profit will still be in it for the companies, but they just get way too greedy. There used to be an unwritten rule on daily rates in London (and a slightly lower figure out of London) for all the different trades but this went out the window with cheap labour from abroad. I'd like to get back to this system as it will also encourage kids to get into the trades.

Maybe we should now expect a spike in Kent!

It would be nice if people didn't confuse immigration with illegal migrants.

Last year there were nearly 1,900 people illegally crossing the channel.

Most of whom, apparently, had 'strong claims' to asylum.

It is interesting that this is creating a 'national crisis'. In contrast there were 6,000 deaths last year as a result of accidents in the home (normally in the living room or lounge) - send them all out I say.

It appears it is not in the interests of current politicians to put this into perspective. Still, it gives the Navy something to do and keeps Priti from talking nonsense about stuff the grown ups are interested in.

For the avoidance of doubt, I don't want illegal immigration and would like it to stop but this issue and fishing rights seem to get a lot more attention than they deserve. Must be because we all want to be salty sea dogs.

What's the first rule of asylum?

You are confusing legal and illegal migration. 1,900 people are not of interest to corporates.

You don't have to be mad to work here but it helps?

It's a terrible film that I've done my best to forget. I don't want to talk about it.

But a lot of them may be of interest to the security services, if we could establish who they are. Again it is more than 1900

Don"t expect a fair wage if domonic rabb is around, he wanted to get rid of the £7.50 minimum wage last year as he said we could get people to work cheaper, perhaps why so many are getting through to dover?

If that is intended to rebut me it doesn't.

I am no fan of illegal immigrants and recognise that amongst them will be some spectacularly nasty people

But to indicate that big corporates welcome illegal immigration is just incredibly dumb.

Maybe that's part of the reason why 345,000 emigrate each year.

TBF not sure what Govt can do, we are an island and these economic migrants are landing everywhere, everyday. The real culprits here are the French who have never attempted to quell the rush to the promised land. Also our own pc/looney lefties who believe every one is welcome and try to thwart any attempt to remove them.

I think it2s the right wingers who actually want them coming over spider like the forementioned dom rabb- the get rid of minimum wage tory so we can pay them less, never trust a CON, they always seem to talk a good game but act differently! We have had 10 years of these CONS, theres plenty they could and should have done, lets not go back to another decade to shift blame, take responsibility CONservatives, if you cant do a job in 10 years don"t pretend you can when these lemmings are voting for you!
