Ordinary people paying the price of austerity with blood, while billions used to bail out the banks

There probably is a correlation but it’s still a bit of a leap from “there aren’t many policemen about” to “I think I’ll stab someone”.

More police numbers would help, but it's not going to solve the issue. There needs to be tougher sentencing. And a massive cultural shift.

Do we know if Cressida Dick is implementing 'stop and search' to help save kids' lives?

Villians and thugs have always used violence but the levels now are unprecedented. There is a direct correlation between immigration and street violence. Some cultures promote gang culture and the use of knives to settle disputes.
What is funny is how we have known this for years and yet some dummies still want to use it as a political football.

Police numbers are not the be all and end all of the crime prevention so stop peddling this crap.

If there were policemen on every corner there would be complaints about the intrusive police presence. London already has more surveillance cameras than almost any other city but they don’t seem to have any effect either.

The Black 'community' told us that mistrusting them was wrong and the police should stop searching them for no reason.

Now their youth are slaughtering each other.

This is what happens when you put politics first and public safety last.

I do sympathise with people getting stopped and searched when they’ve done nothing wrong but if stabbings were being carried out by men over 6’6” who would come under scrutiny?

what exactly would you like those additional Police to do as I doubt you agree with stop and search? Also, do you not think the role of Police Cmmissioner is now so political as to be entirely out of touch with the rank and file.

Can you please explain the comment "Ordinary people paying the price of austerity with blood"? What is the link you think between austerity and violent crime? Do you doubt there are much poorer communities in other parts of the world where people are not killing each other? Do you think there are no cultural problems in play?

At least we can agree that the bailout was immoral. I doubt many would disagree. Even many conservatives / libertarians would agree with you. It's crony capitalism and it's wrong. I think corporations in general are immoral as nobody loses when things fail other than the employees and the share holders. Individuals need to be directly accountable for their actions which is ironically what you are arguing against.

There's also a direct coloration between crime and increased immigration.

If Labour hadn't sp@nked all the country's finances then we would have more police.

Police cuts due to austerity, when people are being murdered due to government policy, it needs scrutiny. This was Theresa May's policy, a catalogue of failure in her reign as home Secretary

Also cuts in school funding
