White pride and black pride do exist. White pride is just taboo due to the racist idea that whites can't assert pride in their race due to the misdeeds of a few ancestors.
Misdeeds that all cultures, creeds, races are guilty of.

Saying white people don't have a history of oppression is incorrect.

Every single race, ethnicity, religious background, or whatever you identify as, has at one point been oppressed through Mankind's history.

Some are just better at getting on with it than others - others just dwell on past events and hope that some misinformed apologists will install guilt where none exists.

Oh come on. This is a stupid comment. Of course it affects those groups of people in some way. Mainly psychologically - they will have been told the horrors of their past via stories handed down from family and friends.

Especially something as recent as the holocaust and to some extent segregation, slavery - the historical ‘place’ and perception of black men and women, for example.

Plus, most races and cultures are brought up to know about their history and background and the struggles and successes that got them to where they are today. Ours included. This certainly forms an important part of a group of individuals identity, perception of their place in society and in some cases can seed prejudices against other groups even though there might be no reason to do so in the modern age.

If that isn’t obvious to you then you have no business existing other than in your own isolationist, introverted bubble

Really? What family stories does anyone have handed down from seven generations ago? Do you honestly believe that there are thousands of people so historically knowledgeable that they are psychologically affected by the past?
Conditions in most industries in this country, mills, mines, farming, etc were shocking so why isn’t everybody equally psychologically affected?

To make this more relevant than slavery in centuries past, I’m not going to feel guilty or shame over some racist police, or police e just doing their job, or any landlords with discriminative signs in the front windows. There are plenty of opportunities in adulthood for all races in this country. What needs to happen is change in the schools of predominantly black children, and that needs the influence of parents, and in the case of crime and gang and knife culture, the police with the parents. If the black community step in there then I’m not sure what else there is they’re not in reach of.

I think he gave the example of the Jews to show that stories of a terrible past aren't an excuse for negative realities later on in history. Jews have undoubtedly been psychologically affected but on average they continue to achieve far above the average and thrive within western societies.

Enjoy the conflicts that your children will have to deal with. All due to victim politics, all due to identity politics for me, but not for thee......which of course will be met by an inevitable reaction.

The box was opened by the left and I don't see how it goes back.

Your last word? I doubt it.

You said 'I am merely pointing out that those who use the two terms do so for different motivations'.

How do you know what people think? That is your arrogance talking.

You are taking two stereotypes and assuming everyone is the same.

Do you not see your own prejudice at work here?

You are enabling racism by perpetuating a myth.
Black people do not require 'pride' any more or less than anyone else. If they need anything it is to cast off the victim status that you liberals want to bestow on them like it or not.

I am all for education for everyone but celebrities and their followers don't arf talk a load of sh*te. A summary of her film.

"It is a celebration of black American culture with education, specifically Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), serving as the foundation of her message.

In the film, Beyoncé describes how she always wanted to attend an HBCU, but Destiny's Child and the trials and tribulations of celebrity instead became her higher education. (Code for too busy earning a shed load of money and why not).

"She did not attend an HBCU, but she has learned from and mimicked the culture that's present at HBCUs," said Dawn Williams, the Dean of Howard University's School of Education. (What does that mean you got a degree without attending?)

I know I am being picky but this Dawn Williams is talking nonsense. Why not say she didn't need to go because she was too busy eaning millions but she supports people who do want to go.

What a dirty *hit this man is.
The man who opened the doors to mass immigration has the cheek to state the bleeding obvious whilst normal people get shouted down as racist for these exact views [Link]

Segregated shift patterns? Is that a thing, seriously I have never heard of this? Does he mean that the East Europeans work the day shift and the Africans work the night shift?

Translation: The 'far right' (That's code for not members of the left wing hive mind) were right all along.

This is called stealing the fire.

Blair and everyone else knows that concerns about immigration are perfectly well founded but like all scumbag politicians, Blair puts defeating his political enemies first.
